Thai scientists utilize this meeting as a forum to exchange their knowledge and to update frontier research in the fields with peers from various institutes in Thailand and from abroad. Every year, each of the 30 well-known public universities in Thailand, both in Bangkok and in the provinces, takes turn in co-hosting this prestigious conference and the year 2019, the conference is co-hosted by Mae Fah Luang University. The theme of this 45th Congress on Science and Technology of Thailand (STT45) is "Seedling Innovation for Sustainable Development". We are most privileged and honored to have Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously presides over the Opening Ceremony of this Congress. Associate Professor Dr. Napavarn Noparatnaraporn President The Science Society of Thailand under the Patronage of His Majesty the King 3 The 45th Congress on Science and Technology of Thailand (STT45) MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN OF SCHOOL OF SCIENCE, MAE FAH LUANG UNIVERSITY On behalf of the School of Science, Mae Fah Luang University, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 45th of Congress on Science and Technology of Thailand (STT45) being held in Chiang Rai, Thailand during 7-9th October 2019 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the School of Science The Congress on Science and Technology of Thailand (STT) is one of the biggest science and technology conference in Thailand with around a thousand participants from local and overseas attending each year. With the theme of “Seedling Innovation for Sustainable Development”, the congress aims to build up a platform for sharing and exchange the knowledge and experiences among national and international expertise scientists and technologists as well as the young one in various field of Science and Technology. th On the auspicious occasion for the 20 anniversary of the establishment of the School of Science and the 21st anniversary of Mae Fah Luang University. We are honored to host this 45th Congress on Science and Technology of Thailand together with the Science Society of Thailand under the Patronage of His Majesty the King. In this conference, we are honored to have Professor Robert H. Grubbs, the Nobel Laureate in Chemistry in 2005 as the keynote speaker on the topic "Discovery and Applications of Selective Olefin Metathesis Catalysts". In addition, Thailand Outstanding Scientists, and numerous eminent scientists are present to share their latest research. For such a successful accomplishment, we would like to cordially thank our sponsors, advisory boards, invited speakers, reviewers, authors, and all participants. We sincerely hope that the presentations and discussions during the conference will lead to further academic development and fruitful collaboration in this region and worldwide. We are most privileged and honored to have Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously preside over the Opening Ceremony ad attend the Keynote Lecture by the 2005 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, Professor Dr. Robert H. Grubbs from California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, California, USA, Plenary Lecture by 2019 Outstanding Scientist of Thailand, Assistant Professor Dr. Montree Sawangphruk, School of Energy Science and Engineering, Vidyasirimedhi Institute of Science and Technology. This year the Congress is arranged into 8 sessions on various topics in science and technology with two special sessions on Crystallography, Cannabinoids: From biosynthesis to medical applications. In addition there are two joint conferences and workshops on the Integrative medicine, and on the Cosmetic and beauty. Workshops on Fungal evolution, classification and role in plant evolution, and response to climate change, and Texture analysis for quality measurement of products will also be included. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who provide support to STT45 to promote the highest quality of the Congress, the Office of the National Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Policy Council, Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI) and Foundation for the Promotion of Science and Technology under the Patronage of H.M. the King.     Notification of the Central Committee on the Price of Goods and Services No. 6, B.E. 2560 (2017) Regarding Control of Transport of Animal Feed Corn ------------------------------------ Whereas the Central Committee on the Price of Goods and Services has repealed the Notification of the Central Committee on the Price of Goods and Services No. 1, B.E. 2559 (2016) regarding Determination of Goods and Services under Control dated 21 January B.E. 2559 ( 2016) , resulting in the end of enforcement of the Notification of the Central Committee on the Price of Goods and Services No. 6, B.E. 2559 (2016) regarding Control of Transport of Animal Feed dated 25 January B.E. 2559 (2016). In the meantime, the Central Committee on the Price of Goods and Services has already reconsidered the exercise of its power regarding the stipulation of the aforesaid measure, it is of the view that the measure of the control of transport of animal feed corn should be maintained in order to bring about the fairness of price, quantity and the maintenance of stability of the animal feed market system within the Kingdom. By virtue of Section 9 (2) and Section 25 (4), (7) of the Price of Goods and Services Act, B.E. 2542 ( 1999) , the Central Committee on the Price of Goods and Services has therefore issued this Notification, as follows.     ASEAN - US Cooperative Program on Marine Sciences: Coastal Resources Management Project Association of Southeast Asian Nations United States Agency for International Development International Center for Living Aquatic Resources Management The goal of the Coastal Resources Management Project (CRMP) is to increase existing capabilities within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region to develop and implement comprehensive, multidisciplinary and environmentally sustainable CRM strategies through: analyzing, documenting and disseminating information on trends in coastal resources development; increasing awareness of the importance of CRM policies and identifying, and where possible, strengthening existing management capabilities;. pro- viding technical solutions to coastal resources use conflicts; .promoting institutional arrangements that bring multisectoral planning to coastal resources development. The CRMP, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), is being executed by the International Center for Living Aquatic Resources Management (ICLARM). In Indonesia, no study was conducted owing to the ban on trawl Proceedings of the Regional Workshop on Trawl Fisheries Socio-economics fisheries beginning January 2015. However, a paper based on key 26-27 October 2015 informant interviews was prepared. The socio-economic studies were Da Nang, Viet Nam undertaken to understand the contribution of trawl fisheries to food and security and livelihoods and determine the potential impacts of Socio-economic Write-shop management measures on stakeholder groups. Among the 25-26 April 2016 socio-economic information collected were the following: Cha Am, Thailand demographic structure of owners and crew; fishing practices – boat, gear, season, duration; catch composition, value chain and markets; contribution to livelihoods, food security and nutrition; role of women; heast Asia and Papua New Guinea costs and income from trawling; catch/income sharing arrangements; linkages with other sectors; and perceptions – resources, participation, compliance and the future.

    Volume 14, Number 1, Pages 12 - 20 Genetic variations for ‘Nam Hom’ coconut (Cocos nucifera L.) grown in the western region of Thailand using AFLP markers Pongnart Nartvaranant Division of Crop Production Technology, Faculty of Science and Technology, Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University, Nakhon Pathom 73000, Thailand Abstract Using 10 selected Amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) primers, to investigate the genetic diversity and relationships among ‘Nam Hom’ coconut grown in the western region of Thailand, resulting in amplification of 169 reproducible polymorphic fragment products out of 416 bands scored. The percentages of polymorphic markers for AFLP ranged from 70.00% for E-ACC/M-CAT to 24.14 % for E-ACC/M-CAA primers. The phylogenetic tree dendrogram showed that the 55 coconut accessions grown in western region of Thailand could be classified into four groups at 0.88 of similarity coefficients. This grouping observation is consistent with existing morphological classification of coconut tree. The first group to the third group in this study contains tall coconut group and mutant coconut from dwarf coconut group. While, the forth group contains all coconut which belongs to the dwarf coconut group including ‘Nam Hom’ (‘Kon Chip’ and ‘Kon Klom’ strains) and ‘Nam Wan’ coconut from all production area with 0.895-1.00 of similarity coefficients indicated the narrow genetic diversity. Moreover, the results indicated that the ‘Nam Hom’ coconut samples both ‘Kon Chip’ and ‘Kon Klom’ strains collected in different locations were for the main part genetically similar with cophenetic correlation (r) = 0.9347.
