An online survey also formed part of the consultation process. 1.2 A joint meeting held by LCC and Statutory Undertakers took place on March 15th 2016 where the scheme could be discussed, and any issues raised. Following the meeting, an agreement was made to extend the consultation deadline to June 10th 2016 to allow any proposed changes to be reviewed and considered. No significant changes were made. 1.3 The draft Scheme Document and accompanying covering letter was issued to 691 stakeholder organisation contacts including statutory consultees DfT, neighbouring Highway Authorities, Utilities and emergency services. A full list is provided within this document. 1.4 Some organisations had a number of consultees within them and if known those individuals were contacted directly. The total number of email addresses / individual contacts made was 437. 1.5 Of the consultees, there were eight (8) stakeholder organisations individual comments on the proposed Permit Scheme received by the deadline. The online survey received 114 responses; however there were only 8 complete responses, 6 of which from members of the public who were happy with the introduction of the scheme. There were 106 incomplete responses. 1.6 A list of comments received are provided in this document including those from the joint meeting held on March 15th 2016. It has been prepared in compliance with the statutory consultation requirements of the Town and Country Planning (Local Development) (England) Regulations 2004.     ENCLOSURE & AGRICULTURAL IMPROVEMENT IN NORTH-WEST LINCOLNSHIRE FROM CIRCA 1600 TO 1850. Thomas M. Smith, MA Thesis submitted to the University of Nottingham for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy July 2012 i Abstract This study sets out to establish the link between enclosure and agricultural improvement in a group of parishes in north-west Lindsey, Lincolnshire between the sixteenth century and the mid-nineteenth century. In particular it emphasises the continuity of enclosure history through time, rather than concentrating only on the period of parliamentary enclosure as has often been the case in the past, and on links to agricultural improvement which include land reclamation, draining and warping. It shows that a simple explanation of enclosure in terms of driving up rents and allowing individual farmers to take their own farming decisions, fails to take into account the particular local circumstances of this area. Using a combination of enclosure documents and related material such as glebe terriers, land tax assessments, census materials, the 1801 agricultural returns and estate papers it sets out to show how agricultural improvement transformed both the landscape and the farming techniques in this area. In this process it covers a range of related topics including landownership, population, and the socio-economic structure of the villages of north-west Lindsey. It shows clearly that in this area enclosure is as much as anything associated with land drainage, and with improvements brought about by warping. These processes were interwoven, and separating enclosure out as a single movement underestimates the complexity of the farming arrangements required to ensure the most productive farming in this area.

    Alford War Memorials TF 455755 Alford is both a parish and a small but ancient market town. A small brook runs through the parish, which is 8 miles northeast of Spilsby and 13 miles southeast of Louth, and sits only six miles from the North Sea. The parish covers about 1,100 acres. © John Readman The parish church is of St. Wilfred’s, which is close to the centre of the town. Inside the church are several war memorials. These consist of the following:- Roll of Honour World War 1 Roll of Honour World War 2 A memorial to Richard James Sinclair in Northern Ireland 1972 A stained glass window for Maurice Nelson Baron Outside the church is the town’s war memorial, a cross upon four steps. The church is often open to the public, and all the memorials are easy to find within the church.
