Updates in Previous Releases

Listed below are highlights of changes from previous releases. You are welcome to review previous releases of this quarterly document on the SAP Help Portal.

New Ireland Directory (July, 2020)

Ireland now has its own self-contained directory called SAP ADDR IRELAND [ga_ie_paf.dir] available for purchase. This directory enables street-level address assignment, which is an improvement over lastline-only assignment from the All World directory. SAP ADDR IRELAND works with Data Services 4.2 SP14 and higher. Czech Republic (October, 2019)

The LOCALITY2_CODE field has been added to the LOCALITY_NAME table to accommodate instances in which there is a locality2 code associated with locality2. Estonia (October, 2019)

Locality2 and the locality identifiers for Locality1-2 are now output for Estonia. The file size of the Estonia directory has increased from 19 MB to 607 MB. Japan (July, 2019)

Starting with release 4.2 SP12 Patch 3, which is scheduled to be available at the end of August, the Japan directory will be supplied by a new data provider. This new directory named ga_jp_ipc.dir contains updated and comprehensive address line data. SAP customers must purchase this new directory in order to maintain functionality in SP12 Patch 3 and beyond. The new directory may be approximately 33 GB in size. Note that the previous JPOST Japan directory ga_jp_paf.dir will remain available through February of 2020 and will continue to work in support packages prior to SP12 SP3.

Russia directory file size (July, 2019)

International Directory Update 4 PUBLIC International directory update for April 2021 The Russia directory has increased in size from approximately 68 GB to approximately 95 GB.

Bulgaria (April, 2019)

New address line data including street names and house numbers has been added to improve assignment capability beyond last line data of region, locality, and postcode.

Changes Related to Poland Addresses (January, 2019)

For Poland addresses, the Global Address Cleanse transform now outputs the district name (powiat) in the Region2 output field and the community name (gmina) in the Additional_Info1 output field.

Updated Russia output fields for Global Address Cleanse

The Global Address Cleanse transform output fields named Additional_Info1 through Additional_Info8 have changed for Russia addresses. The following table contains the new Russia field descriptions:

Output field Description

Additional_Info1 Russia A 4-digit tax code (IFNSUL) and a 4-digit territory code (TERRIFNSUL) for a legal entity. The two codes are separated with a pipe symbol (|) as in IFNSUL|TERRIFNSUL.

Additional_Info2 Russia An 11-digit administrative territorial division code (OKATO) and an 8- or 11-digit municipality code (OKTMO). The two codes are separated with a pipe symbol (|) as in OKATO|OKTMO.

Additional_Info3 Russia A 36-character identifier (AOID) and a 36-character global unique identifier (AOGUID) for the address object. The two codes are separated with a pipe symbol (|) as in AOID|AOGUID.

Additional_Info4 Russia A 36-character identifier (HOUSEID) and a 36-char acter global unique identifier (HOUSEGUID) for the house number. The two codes are separated with a pipe symbol (|) as in HOUSEID|HOUSEGUID.

Additional_Info5 Russia A 36-character global unique identifier (ROOMGUID) for the room number.

Additional_Info6 Reserved for future use.

Additional_Info7 Reserved for future use.

Additional_Info8 Reserved for future use.

Russia directory file size (October, 2018)

As of October, 2018, the Russia directory has increased in size from approximately 33 GB to approximately 68 GB. Due to file size limitations on the SAP Support Launchpad, the directory is split into two download files – an .exe file and a .rar file.

New vendor for China address directory data (July, 2018)

Effective July 2018, SAP has started using a new provider with more accurate and current China address directory data. Data Services 4.2.11.0 - for which we are targeting a Q3 release - will work only with the new

International Directory Update International directory update for April 2021 PUBLIC 5 data, so you must download the new directory named ga_cn_nav.dir. Data Services versions prior to 4.2.11 will work only with the old data.

Caution: SAP is discontinuing using the old vendor and has terminated our contract with that vendor. If you wish to continue to cleanse China data, you will need to purchase a new subscription for China Address Directory that will be available with Data Services 4.2.11. Older service pack versions of Data Services will continue to support the old China Post data directory (ga_cn_paf.dir). However, we will be posting this directory file for the last time in October 2018. This allows you to process data with the old data directory file through the end of the year.

Updates for Russian word assignments in Global Address Cleansing Parsing Dictionary

Data Services and Data Quality Management SDK 4.2 SP9 Patch 1 contains several updates to the GAC parsing dictionary that will improve your assignments for Russian words. Be sure to install the patch and the latest Russian directory to take advantage of these update. The parsing dictionary is released as part of Data Services.

If you don’t download the latest Russian directory along with the latest patch, GAC will still assign Russian words, but you won’t be taking advantage of the improved assignments.

Delta directory files for Germany

The directory package for Germany contains two files beneficial for efficiently updating your address lists. The files are referred to as "delta" files, as they provide a list of postcodes, localities, and street names that have changed in the German address data since the last quarter's directory update. You can use this list to construct a filter to process only the records in your input files that will be affected by the directory changes. This will save processing time by only processing necessary records in your datasets.

The delta files are:

de_delta_pc.txt Contains a list of postcodes for which addresses have changed since the last quarter's directory update. You can (The filename includes the year and month in the YYYYMM use this file to filter the records in your datasets matching format) each postcode and process only those with Data Services. Data Services will update the records in your datasets to re flect all the various changes to the directory data for this set of postcodes.

International Directory Update 6 PUBLIC International directory update for April 2021 de_delta_pc_loc_str.txt Contains a postcode and locality, or a postcode, locality and street name on each line that have changed since the last (filename includes the year and month in the YYYYMM for quarter's directory update. This file enables you to create a mat) more targeted filter. The filter will save update processing time, but it will be a little more complicated to filter the re cords. Also, this file assumes that you have high quality ad dress data (for example, standardized locality and street names) so that your filter is successful . If your datasets have not been processed using Data Services, use the de_delta_pc.txt file.

Additional support in Geocoder transform

The following are now supported in the Data Services Geocoder transform:

You can download the directories from SAP ONE Support Launchpad at https:// launchpad.support.sap.com/#/softwarecenter .

Downloading directories via the SAP ONE Support Launchpad

Use SAP ONE Support Launchpad at https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/softwarecenter to easily select all of the address and geocoding directories that you want to download and add them to your Download Basket. For more information, see Download directory files [page 9].

The Directory Update Assistant utility has been deprecated.

Directory summary report

The directory summary report provides information about the contents of the directories. The report is included in the directory package and has the file name dir_summary_report_.html.

Download your directory files from the SAP ONE Support Launchpad on the SAP Support Portal.

 Note

If the directories that you own are not listed on the SAP Support Portal, see the section entitled "What to do if the directories are not available for download."

1. Access the SAP ONE Support Launchpad on the SAP Support Portal at https:// launchpad.support.sap.com/#/softwarecenter and sign in with your S-User ID and password.

2. Select Address Directories & Reference Data Address Directories . 3. On the Address Directories & Reference Data page, select Current Directories.

The list of directories licensed to your company is displayed. 4. Click the check box to the left of the directory name(s) that you want to download; for example, SAP ADDRESS DIRECTORY AUSTRIA 4.X . To select all current directories, click the check box to the left of the Name heading. 5. Click the Add Selected Items to Download Basket icon. The selected files are placed in the Download Basket. 6. Run the Download Manager to start the download process. 3.1 Install directories to the default location on Windows

The following steps describe how to install the 4.x directory files for Data Services 4.x and Data Quality Management SDK on Windows.

1. Stop any processes that use the Global Address engine or Global Suggestion List. 2. Locate and double-click the .zip file. WinRAR prompts you for the location in which to place the directory files. 3. Browse to the folder where you want WinRAR to place the directory files and click Install.

By default, Data Services looks for the directory files in \SAP BusinessObjects\Data Services\DataQuality\reference_data.

By default, Data Quality Management SDK looks for the directory files in SAPBusinessObjects \DataQualityManagementSDK\windows_32\DataQuality\reference_data. 4. Restart any processes that use the Global Address engine or Global Suggestion List.

3.2 Install directories to the default location on UNIX

The steps listed here describe how to install the 4.x directory files for Data Services 4.x and Data Quality Management SDK on UNIX

You must have unzip installed in order to extract a .zip file. Contact your UNIX administrator to install this, if necessary.

1. Stop any processes that use the Global Address engine or Global Suggestion Lists.

By default, Data Services looks for the directory files in /SAP BusinessObjects/Data Services/DataQuality/reference_data.

By default, Data Quality Management SDK looks for the directory files in SAPBusinessObjects/ DataQualityManagementSDK//DataQuality/reference_data. 4. Restart any processes that use the Global Address engine or Global Suggestion List.
