The International Academy of Sports Science and Technology (AISTS) is looking to hire a Research Manager in charge of complex and multidisciplinary projects in the sector of advanced education, research and consulting. You will be in charge of developing and coordinating education/curriculum, providing academic support, supervising and conducting research and consulting in sports sciences and/or sport management. AISTS delivers the 1Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Sport Administration and Technology on the Lausanne campus and other AISTS sport management programmes in cooperation with renown academic partners (, University of Geneva, EPFL, EHL, IMD) and international sport stakeholders (International Olympic Committee, International Federations). The candidate must be well acquainted with the world of global sport administration and the sport industry and have a strong interest in research, executive education, and consulting. The capacity to develop and maintain excellent relationships with all key stakeholders; sport federations, academic institutions, research labs, suppliers and manufacturers, is of utmost importance. The incumbent will be working in a small international team of 5-10 people based on University of Lausanne campus and be expected to have a conscientious and hard-working attitude, be pro-active in order to ensure the timely delivery of high- quality projects. He/she will report directly to the Head of Strategy and Education.

Your main responsibilities: Research and consulting: • Managing, coordinating and executing applied research, consulting & services, in particular mandates in diversified areas of sport: eg sport development, equipment compliance, technology and innovation, sustainability. • Preparing and writing offers for potential mandates. • Writing the technical reports of the research and consulting projects. Education: • Maintaining and developing the AISTS education programmes content, in particular the AISTS MAS, by reviewing and evolving the curriculums in collaboration with the Head of Strategy and Education and with the Programme Coordinator, the scientific committee and lecturers, including the editing of the syllabus and construction of e-learning courses. • Supporting and assessing lecturers and guest speakers. • Preparing and running various short advanced education programmes in Lausanne or abroad. • Supervising participant projects (eg student team projects for clients and individual research projects). • Preparing, coordinating and running the Research Paper module of the AISTS MAS programme. • Supporting AISTS MAS participants with their research projects and other course’s assignments. • Assessing applicants to AISTS education programmes. Other tasks: • Collaborating with and reporting to the Head of Strategy and Education. • Supporting the acquisition of new mandates, clients and projects. • Collaborating with the AISTS team and providing timely support to the administration and to the preparation and organisation of events, conferences and seminars, marketing and communication. • Other events management, organisation and support to the team (4-6 evenings are required / year).

Minimum required • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, ideally in a field related to data science and analytics, executive education, and alternatively in the fields of consulting & research and sport management. • Excellent skills in information seeking, data mining and statistical analysis, reporting tools (diagramming etc) and copywriting. • Full proficiency in English and in French (3rd language is a plus). • Strong understanding of the current challenges of international sport administrations and of the sport industry. • Good competences and relevant experiences with e-learning. • Good skills in statistics, methodology research and statistical software. • Excellent pedagogic competences. • Excellence in project and time management. • Rigor and precision, flexibility and adaptability. • Excellent time management and prioritization skills. • Excellent communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills to interact with a large diversity of numerous stakeholders within an international and multicultural environment. • Good skills in statistics, methodology research and statistical software. • Excellent command of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of SharePoint is a plus. • Passion for sport with relevant experiences.

The AISTS office is on the UNIL campus, in the brand-new building Synathlon, which is situated on the shores of in the ‘Olympic Capital’ of Lausanne, Switzerland. The AISTS is a not-for-profit foundation created by the International Olympic Committee, EPFL, University of Lausanne, University of Geneva, IMD, Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne, City of Lausanne and Canton of . The AISTS takes a multidisciplinary approach to deal with the complexity of sport, integrating knowledge from management, technology, law, sociology and medicine.
