—FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE— CHAMBLEE ROCKS WITH AND THE REMBRANDTS FOR LAST SHOW IN SUMMER CONCERT SERIES

August 2, 2018— The Chamblee Summer Concert Series ends on a high note with the last show featuring Gin Blossoms and The Rembrandts on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 6:30 pm, downtown Chamblee at City Hall Park. Admission to the show is free.

For more than two decades, Gin Blossoms have defined the sound of jangle pop. From their late 80s start as ’s top indie rock outfit, the Tempe-based combo has drawn critical applause and massive popular success for their trademark brand of chiming guitars, introspective lyricism and irresistible melodies. The band earned sales in excess of 10 million in the US alone with colossal hits like “,” “,” “” and the GRAMMY-nominated “.”

The Rembrandts are a Grammy-nominated band best known for the hit “Just the Way It Is Baby” and “I'll Be There for You” (Theme from FRIENDS). The Rembrandts got their start in 1990 when longtime pals Danny Wilde and Phil Solem recorded a collection of demos that went on to become their self-titled debut. Their signature harmonies and catchy hooks have attracted fans from all around the world. With additional Top 40 hits like "Johnny Have You Seen Her," "Someone," "Burning Timber" and "This House Is Not a Home" the band continues to tour 25 years after their first hit.

Parking will be available at Chamblee High School, 3688 Chamblee Dunwoody Dr. A shuttle will be traveling back and forth between Downtown Chamblee and the high school to transport concert goers. It will run from 6:30 pm until 11 pm. We also encourage people to ride MARTA to the Chamblee station and enjoy the short walk to City Hall and the concert site.

Food service begins at 6 pm. Coolers are allowed but must be small enough to fit under a chair and no larger than 30 quarts. Bags are subject to search.
