AENEAS WILLIAMS INSPIRES STUDENTS The Heart of a Hall of Famer series, powered by Extreme Networks, provides students the opportunity to learn first-hand what it took beyond athletic ability for legendary Heroes of the Game to achieve success on and off the field. The program focuses on the Hall of Fame’s core values of commitment, integrity, courage, respect and excellence.

On Wednesday, Hall of Famer AENEAS WILLIAMS took part in a Heart of a Hall of Famer program at the Hall to help inspire nearly 300 local youth from many area schools and countless others via Facebook Live.

“Honor your father and your mother . . . at your age, your parents already have the wisdom, they already have the headaches, they already have the experiences. Your parents’ words carry weight with them more than your friends – they love you; they don’t want you to go through unnecessary heartbreak. Listening to my mother and father allowed me to listen to difficult coaches and deal with difficult situations.” - Aeneas Williams

I PROMISE SCHOOL Williams also had the opportunity to visit the I Promise School, which was started with the help of LeBron James, his family foundation and Akron (Ohio) Public Schools. Williams spoke with nearly 60 students about some of the things he learned throughout his football journey. He shared with the students that “your value is in your difference” – explaining that it doesn’t matter what you are good

SENSORY BAGS Earlier this year, the Pro Football Hall of Fame teamed up with KultureCity, an organization that works with venues to create acceptance and inclusion for all individuals with unique abilities, to make the Museum sensory inclusive and to offer sensory bags to those with sensory sensitivities. To date, the initiative has been successful by allowing those who may not have visited the Hall of Fame before, to do so now that there are tools available for them to have an enjoyable experience.

Sensory sensitivities or challenges with sensory regulation are often experienced by individuals with autism, dementia, PTSD and other similar conditions. One of the major barriers for these individuals is sensitivity to over stimulation and noise. This collaboration allows guests who feel overwhelmed by the environment to request sensory bags, equipped with noise canceling headphones, fidget tools, verbal cue cards and weighted lap pads during their visit. The sensory bags are available to all guests
