IOC Boxing Task Force Men's 52 Kg IOC Boxing Task Force Boxing Road to Tokyo Rankings for Men’s and Women’s events The Ranking and Seeding System, the Olympic Games Qualification System, and the Rules that apply to the Boxing Road to Tokyo Qualifying Events and to the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 are published on the Athlete 365 platform, here: https://boxing.athlete365.org/rules-and-references/ Athletes who have ranking points in a certain weight category and have registered to compete in the Boxing Road to Tokyo Qualifying Events in a different weight category will appear on Both respective rankings. The ranking for the Final World Qualifying Event in Paris will Be communicated 10 days prior to the start of competition. These rankings have been updated on 30 April 2021 to reflect the Final Registration Report of the Americas Olympic qualifier. These rankings will be updated after the conclusion of the European continental qualifier (4-8 June 2021). Suomesta otti osaa 4-henkinen joukkue: Marjut Lausti, Mira Potkonen, Matti Koota ja Dmitri Tretjak. Mitaleja ei saavutettu mutta otteluvoittoihin ylsi Dmitri Tretjak kukistaen Tsekin Krolin, sitten häviö Slovenian Venkolle. Matti Koota hävisi hajaäänin tutulle tanskalaiselle Jensenille, Marjut Lausti hopeamitalisti Italian Davidelle ja Mira Potkonen pronssia saaneelle Azeri Alexejevnalle. Miesten tärkein kilpailutapahtuma oli EM-kisat Bulgarian Samkovoissa. Ennen EM-kisoja käytiin karsintaottelu Dmitri Tretjakin ja Ilari Kujalan välillä Helsingissä,Tretjak voitti ja sai edutuspaikan EM-kisoihin 3-miehiseen joukkueeseen. Kisoissa Matti Koota hävisi Armenian Avajagille 3 - 0, Dmitri Tretjak diskattiin Puolan Jablonskia vastaan ja Tomi Honka voitti ensin Armenian Segsianin ja hävisi seuraavaksi Velko-Venäjän Kornejeville. Joukkueemme sai yhden otteluvoiton ja näin emme saanneet osallistujia MM-kilpailuhin Qatariin, jonne maanosien mestaruuskilpailuissa parhaat saivat paikan. MM-kisoissa Kuuba nousi kisojen parhaaksi maaksi 4:llä mestaruudella, toisena oli Venäjä 2:lla mestaruudella. MM-kisoja ei käyty ilman suomalaisia. Allan Roos oli kutsuttuna tuomarina mukana kisoissa. MM-kisat olivat myös 1 karsintakisa olympialaisiin, 2 karsintakisaa on vielä edessä, huhtikuussa Turkissa, toinen vielä epävarma, ehkä kesäkuussa.
