NOTIFICATIONS BY GOVERNMENT

TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) Section 4 of the said Act, the Governor of ACQUISITION OF LANDS Tamil Nadu hereby authorises the Special Tahsildar (Land Acquisition), New Broad Gauge Railway Line Project, [G.O. Ms. No. 275, Transport (I.1), 12th October 2010]. Nagapattinam and his staff and workmen to exercise the powers conferred by said sub-section and under clause (c) of Section 3 No. II(2)/TRA/620(g)/2010. of the said Act, the Governor of Tamil Nadu, hereby appoints the Special Tahsildar (Land Acquisition), Nagapattinam New Broad Whereas, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) Gauge Railway Line Project to perform the functions of the of Article 258 of the Constitution of India, the President of India Collector under the said Act. has, in the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Community Development and Co-operation (Department of Agriculture) Under sub-section (4) of Section 17 of the said Act, the Notification No. 4(1)/65, General II, dated 23rd April 1966, Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby directs that in view of the entrusted to the Government of Tamil Nadu with their consent, urgency of the case, the provisions of Section 5-A of the the functions of the Central Government under the Land said Act shall not apply to this case. Acquisition Act, 1894 (Central Act I of 1894), in relation to acquisition of lands, for the purpose of the Union in this State; SCHEDULE

And, whereas, the lands specified in the Schedule below Nagappattinam District, Thirukkuvalai Taluk, and situated in Thiruvidamaruthur Village, Thirukkuvalai Taluk, Thiruvidamaruthur Village. Nagapattinam District, are needed for a Public purpose, to wit, for the formation of New Broad Gauge Railway Line Between Ryotwari, wet, R.S. No. 17-2 part, name of the land owner, Nagapattinam-Thiruthuraipoondi (Via), Thirukkuvalai, notice to V. Muthukannu, bounded on the north by S.No. 17-2 part, east that effect is hereby given to all to whom it may concern, in accordance with the provisions of sub-section(1) of Section 4 by S.No. 17-3, south by S.No. 17-2 part and west by of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (Central Act 1 of 1894.) S.No. 17-1—0.03.0 hectare.

And, whereas, it has become necessary to acquire Ryotwari, wet, R.S. No. 17-3 part, name of the land owner, immediate possession of the land specified in the schedule V. Ganesan, bounded on the north by S.No. 17-3 part, east by below, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby directs that the lands S.No. 17-5, south by S.Nos. 17-3 part and 17-2 and west by be acquired under the provisions of sub-section (2) of Section S.No. 17-2-—0.07.5 hectare. 17 of the said Act.
