MANTIS™ Low and Medium Power For VHF Applications

Features/Benefits • Designed for digital or analog applications including DAB, DMB, ATSC, and DVB • Special array design yields low downward radiation characteristics with excellent vertical plane patterns • Integrated slot cover for environmental protection • Arrays configurations to provide numeric power gain from 2.6 to 20.0 • Input power ratings up to 16 kW average power (22 kW peak TV power) • DC grounded within each module for enhanced lightning immunity MANTIS Band III VHF Television Antenna • Lightweight rugged materials for ease of installation and long useful life The high band VHF MANTIS Series television antenna draws from the rugged lightweight UHF MANTIS antenna design. These are lightweight side mounted Band III VHF antennas intended primarily for use in LPTV, Class A, and television translator service, in the 174 MHz to 230 MHz band. The VHF MANTIS Series also is designed for DAB, DTV, and DMB applications. The antennas are constructed in individual modules of 4 bay half spaced slots that yield elevation patterns with inherently low downward radiation. The high band VHF MANTIS Series is available in arrays from one to eight (8) individual modules, providing elevation from 2.6 to 20.0 (numeric). The antenna is tested after being fully assembled to insure optimum input match and compliance with published patterns and specifications. ERI can also provide computer modeling services to provide guidance for mounting and orienting the antenna for optimum coverage. The company can also include installation and commissioning services for this or any ERI manufactured antenna and product.
