Chapter Five of our Constitution provides the need to ensure sustainable exploitation, utilization, management and conservation of the environment and natural resources. However, Water Towers are facing wanton destruction and therefore there is urgent need to reverse the trend. Water Towers have a positive impact on the economic growth of the Country. They provide strong linkages to the economy, both in providing intermediate products and services for the industries and goods for consumption by households. The estimated water yield from all the Water Towers in Kenya is 15,800 million cubic meters per year (M3/year), which is more than 75% of the renewable surface water resources in the Country. The Water Towers are therefore enablers to the achievement of the Big Four Agenda (Food and Nutrition Security, Universal Health Coverage, Affordable Housing and Enhancing Manufacturing) since these are all water dependent sectors.

  • 12 Days / 11 Nights Best of Kenya & Tanzania Classic
12 DAYS / 11 NIGHTS BEST OF KENYA & TANZANIA CLASSIC SAFARI DAY 1 MASAI MARA After breakfast depart Nairobi and drive to Masai Mara, lunch at Mara Sopa Lodge. Enjoy the afternoon game driving in the Masai Mara. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge. DAY 2 MASAI MARA Today enjoy a full day of game driving in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. The Masai Mara together with Tanzania’s Serengeti form Africa’s most famous wildlife park, the Masai Mara National Reserve. The image of acacia trees dotting endless grass plains epitomises Africa for many, then add a Maasai warrior and some cattle to the picture and the conversation need go no further. The undeniable highlight of the Masai Mara National Reserve is undoubtedly the annual wildebeest migration traversing the vast plains of the Serengeti and the Masai Mara. It is known as the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet – with more than a million animals following the rains. Large prides of lions, elephants, giraffes, gazelles and eland can also be spotted in the reserve. Aside from horse riding safaris and traditional vehicle safaris, hot-air ballooning over the Mara plains has become almost essential. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge. DAY 3 LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK Today you will depart the Masai Mara and drive to Lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch at the lodge. Enjoy the afternoon out on a game drive. Located in the Great Rift Valley surrounded by yellow acacia woodlands and bushy shrublands, the Lake Nakuru National Park was created to protect the Lake and its large flocks of Lesser Flamingo, which are drawn to the algae that flourish in the saline waters of this soda lake.

JEWELS OF TANZANIA – 6 NIGHTS/7 DAYS MT. KILIMANJARO | ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK | TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK | NGORONGORO CRATER | SERENGETI ITINERARY Day 1: KILIMANJARO Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Meet your driver and transfer to Mt Kilimanjaro. Overnight at Kambi Ya Tembo tented camp. A private concession bordering Kenya at Amboseli National Park. It offers spectacular landscapes with magnificent views of Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru, Ol Doinyo Longido and the Amboseli plains. Excellent game viewing and cultural interaction with the Maasai. A unique nature and cultural experience. Meal Plan: All Inclusive Day 2: ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK & TARANGIRE After breakfast take an optional trek of Mt Kilimanjaro. Depart after the trek for Arusha National Park. Arusha National Park is a multi-faceted jewel, often overlooked by safarigoers, despite offering the opportunity to explore a beguiling diversity of habitats within a few hours. Although elephants are uncommon in Arusha National Park, and lions absent altogether, leopards and spotted hyenas may be seen slinking around in the early morning and late afternoon. It is also at dusk and dawn that the veil of cloud on the eastern horizon is most likely to clear, revealing the majestic snow- capped peaks of Kilimanjaro, only 50km (30 miles) distant. But it is Kilimanjaro’s unassuming cousin, Mount Meru - the fifth highest in Africa at 4,566 metres (14,990 feet) – that dominates the park’s horizon. Its peaks and eastern foot slopes protected within the national park, Mt. Meru offers unparalleled views of its famous neighbour, while also forming a rewarding hiking destination in its own right. Passing first through wooded savannah where buffalos and giraffes are frequently encountered, the ascent of Meru leads into forests aflame with red-hot pokers and dripping with Spanish moss, before reaching high open heath spiked with giant lobelias.
