Una temporada de cine A season to dream about
Sería sencillo conformarnos con los notables éxitos conseguidos en las últimas temporadas. Mejor equipo en el ránking mundial los dos últimos años, ganadores del último Giro de Italia, podios en las tres grandes vueltas, más de un centenar de victorias desde la llegada de Movistar al circuito World Tour… Pero nuestra filosofía y nuestro espíritu competitivo, los mismos que nos han impulsado durante tres décadas y media, nos motivan para luchar de nuevo por los más ambiciosos objetivos en la que será nuestra 36ª temporada en la maxima categoría del ciclismo.
Queremos que 2015 sea una temporada de cine. Tenemos para ello prestigiosos directores, protagonistas de talla mundial, secundarios de lujo, varios candidatos al mejor actor revelación, y un equipo técnico a su lado de primer nivel. Si a eso le sumamos toneladas de ilusión, el guión de nuestra campaña se presenta más atractivo que nunca. Un largometraje que comenzaremos a rodar en enero y que acabará diez meses tras llevarnos por localizaciones de medio mundo.
Un proyecto que sería inviable sin el decidido respaldo de Telefónica y Movistar hace ya cinco temporadas, y que no ha hecho sino aumentar en una alianza cada día más inquebrantable. La ayuda y apuesta por el desarrollo tecnológico por parte de Canyon y Endura desde su incorporación el año pasado han sido también esenciales. Y como en toda gran familia, estamos rodeados de multitud de otros amigos; esas firmas colaboradoras que ponen a nuestra disposición su calidad profesional y humana.
Y el público. El que hace que nuestra labor tenga sentido y el que decide con su apoyo el éxito del trabajo de los artistas. Casi 350.000 seguidores a través de las redes sociales nos hacen sonreír cada día y nos empujan a seguir peleando por lo máximo.
Para vosotros va este 2015. Por una temporada de cine.
It’d be easy for us to stay content with the huge success we achieved during the last few years. Having topped the WorldTour ranking in 2013 & ‘14, won the Giro d’Italia, made it onto the podium in all three Grand Tours, claimed more than 100 victories since Movistar took over sponsorship... Still, our philosophy and competitive spirit, the same one we’ve kept alive for three and a half decades, give us confidence to take a step foward and search for the most ambitious goals in what will be our 36th season at the sport’s top tier.
We want 2015 to be a season to dream about, just like a movie. We have prestigious directors, world-class stars, luxury secondary roles, several contenders to the breakthrough prize, and a staff fully committed to offer their best. Add tons of fighting spirit to that and the storyboard for next year will look more exciting than ever. This film will start in January, and lead us all over the world for about ten months.
This project wouldn’t be possible without the full backing by Telefónica and Movistar from already five years ago, and which hasn’t done anything other than growing and becoming even more unbreakable. The support and gamble for technology and innovation made by Canyon and Endura since they joined the team last year have also been essential. And, as in every other family, we have many other friends by our side, those partners that offer their professional and human values to contribute to success.
And the fans. Those who make this task have a sense, and support us with all their heart. Almost 350,000 people make us smile every day through social networks, and help us keep going forward.
