Standings through games November 19, 2008 MANCHESTER RECAP INSIDE THE NUMBERS Eastern Illinois used a 24 point run early in the first half as the Panthers built a 59-17 halftime lead en route to an easy 82-53 victory over Manchester College. It was the third straight home opening win for head coach Mike Miller. Romain Martin scored 17 points to lead EIU while Tyler Laser and Jay Smith both poured in 11. EIU finished the game shooting 50 percent from the floor. Of the 13 players who participated in the game, ten were credited with at least one assist with six players having multiple assists. Junior college transfer T.J. Marion was the team leader with six assists giving him a team high nine assists on the year. Last season EIU passed out 20 or more assists in three games with a season-high 26 in a win over Jacksonville State.
