Ohio State tailback Ezekiel Elliott, a mad dasher with an exposed midriff, managed to keep his feet Monday night against Oregon, grinding his way forward and gripping the valued leather with two hands as he absorbed Oregon’s best blows. It didn’t matter the down nor the distance as he carried the ball high and tight with care and toughness. He dipped his shoulders, dusted some defenders, split others, and dove forward, all but dot- ting the “i’s” on the championship T-shirts emblazoned with Buckeye branding. In finish- ing his runs, he proved too physical for Oregon, legging out 246 rushing yards, punching in four touchdowns, and claiming a national title. However, there are ways to stay warm and fashionable at the same time! The first article of clothing that comes to mind is, of course, a coat. Everyone owns a simple brown or black coat, but for those searching for outfits that make a statement in the cold, the solution is color! Nothing stands out more than a touch of pastel pink or maroon in your outerwear! Be the pop of color in a crowd of blandness. Also, if you feel your outfit lacks something, add a statement scarf, a knit hat, or a beanie. Another solution to the winter weather is layering, of course. Nothing looks trendier than layering a sweater over a button-down shirt. Pair your look with some slimming, black jeans and a pair of ankle boots, and you’ll be dressed to impress! The last few items you should always remember to have during cold weather are tights, leggings, and vests! Nothing looks classier than a pair of thick black tights under an elegant skirt or dress, and nothing is warmer or more stylish than a vest. By: Gabriella Anile Spotlight on Teacher Sharon Marie Higgins of Weirton, W.V., was born on August 20. She is the youngest of her three siblings, Mary Ann, David, and John. She and her siblings are all graduates of Madonna. Mrs. Higgins has been married to her husband Ronald for twenty-six years. She has two sons, Andrew and Nicholas. Mrs. Higgins previously worked at Oglebay Park for seventeen years, and she also worked as a secretary for St. Paul School for fourteen years. She has a certificate for Early Childhood Edu- cation. Mrs. Higgins loves to vacation in Myrtle Beach with her family. Her most memorable moment is the flood of 2004 and all of the damage it caused to St. Paul School. She says, “There was a lot of hard work and effort put forth when trying to get [the school] re-opened.” Her hobby is watching sporting events, especially when they involve her sons. Some fun facts about Mrs. Higgins are that she loves Christmas, she watches Rudy and The Big Bang Theory, and she loves eating sweets. He mostly wears Under Armour, plays Bike Race on his phone, and listens to country music. If he were deserted on an island, he would bring his phone, Nike shoes, and sour Skittles.
Sophomore Phillip James Good is 15 years old. After he graduates, he plans to attend West Virginia University, but his favorite sports team is Alabama Crimson Tide. Phil’s favorite teacher is Ms. Schuller. He has one dog, Sydney. Phil would love to visit the Bahamas one day. His role model is Chris Kyle, and his favorite actress is Kate Upton. The most used app on his phone is “Insty.” He listens to country music and wears Express clothes the most. If he were stranded on an island, he would bring food, a knife, and a yo-yo.

Her favorite clothing is Victoria’s Secret Pink, and her favorite sports team is the Steelers! The most used app on her phone is Pinterest, and her favor- ite type of music is country. If Morgan were stranded on a deserted island, she’d want a boat, music, and a blanket.
