We will miss you Dick, and think of you This program is made every time a door slams in a FUNdraiser. We hope you’re looking possible, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a down and laughing with us. Proud Member of state agency dedicated to nurturing Look for more of our tribute to Dick Mullin on our lobby television. and supporting the arts in Delaware, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. Message from the President & Playwright/Director ONE-DAY BATH ENJOY THE Dear Guests: We’re The Perfect Fit!® REMODELING! SHOW! In 1989 I first discovered this gem of a theatre and group of people known as Chapel Street Players. I had friends at the time in the FUNdraiser, Double Exposure, and I met the legendary Reneé G. O’Leary (we share a birthday by the way) who welcomed me to the group, and the rest they say is history! This is my 25th season with CSP, first appearing in their 1990 FUNdraiser Key for Two directed by our current oldest living volunteer, Ernie Sutton. The cast included local talent that made me feel like an amateur, including the multi-talented, Dick Mullen, who sadly we lost just a few weeks ago. The FUNdraiser is a proud tradition of CSP, last year being named the Reneé G. O’Leary FUNdraiser honoring the 50th one she has appeared in, with this one being her 51st. In honor of my anniversary season and the fact that I have been involved with 15 of the last 25 FUNdraisers, there are props, décor, or situations that pay homage to those shows. I wax nostalgic as President to remind you that CSP is run entirely by volunteers - but more than that- good people who become good friends, who bond over the love of theatre, and share pride in keeping the arts alive in our community. I encourage you to try us out, or better yet, become a Season Subscriber for our 80th Season. Please check out brochures in the lobby and start yourself on a fulfilling journey. As Director, I thank the cast and crew for all their patience in the many re-writes as the show progressed. This has been a truly collaborative effort and I am grateful for all their hard work and support.
