ABSTRACT Event marketing is one of the fastest growing fields in marketing and advertising today. It's everywhere you look in today's culture although; you probably don't readily recognize the majority of the event marketing programs when you see them. That's because there are many flavors to event marketing and there are no hard rules about what exactly is and isn't event marketing. That free sample of coffee you picked up from the Dunkin' Donuts logo wrapped vehicle = Event Marketing. The huge, custom-converted tractor/trailer semi with dozens of Playstation 2 stations where you played the hottest new game titles while at the X Games = Event Marketing. Have you been on Spring Break or at a vacation hot spot and been approached by an attractive model who wanted you to sign-up or try something? That was an Event Marketing program in action.Whether you are at the Super Bowl, Ozzfest, the Van's Warped Tour, the Olympics, or just your local mall or grocery store, there is an event marketing program there or, at the very least, waiting for you right around the corner. Event marketing brings the advertising to the consumer by direct hand-to-hand sampling or interactive displays. While advertising and major marketing programs blast millions of consumers with the same general messages on television or mass media, event marketing targets specific individuals or groups at gathering spots where they hope to make quality individual impressions. Key words: Marketing, Event marketing programs, Dunkin‘donuts, Playstation2, Xgames. Programs rely on an Event Marketing street teams to execute the daily program and accomplish any and all program goals. While everyone at the event marketing company involved in the creation and construction of the program probably had an MBA or a college degree in advertising or marketing, the street team is generally comprised of young, energetic people. An education is not mandatory for anyone on the management team, in most cases. The management team usually consists of at least one manager and possibly several assistant managers or coordinators.

Official Use Onl~ ~NVENTORY SURVEY (NON- FOREST AREA) OF HISAR DISTRICT HARYANA STATE INVENTORY RESULTS Forest Survey Of .Ind ia ·Northern· Zone SH IMLA 1997- Forest Survey of India has taken up inventory surveys in the rural areas with the primary objective of assess­ ing the distribution of trees and the Growing Stock in the rural areas and to have',an overview of the various social forestry schemes implemented by the State Forest Departments. The invento­ ry survey was carried out by stratified random sampling. One of the important points in this survey was to categorise various types of trees in a village. The categories were farm forestry, roadside plantations, village woodlots, block plantations, plan­ tations done along canals, railway lines, ponds etc. This report pertains to Hisar district of Haryana state. The geographical area of Hisar district ~s 6234.64 sq km. The survey was carried out during 1994-95 in the rural areas of the district covering an area of 387.92 sq.km. Out of the total species inventoried,21 spe­ cies have been presented separately on the basis of their pre­ dominance and commercial importance Other species have been grouped together as miscellaneous . J The total number of trees in the district have been assessed at 50.82 lakhs i.e. 8.15 trees/ha and the corresponding volume has been assessed at 11.31 lakh cubic metres i.e. 1.814 cum fha. Acacia nilotica have been found to have the largest representation with 16.13 lakh trees ( 31.93 ~ ) while Acacia tortilis has the lowest representation amongst important species of the State.

    DISTRICT SURVEY REPORT FOR SUSTAINABLE SAND MINING DISTT. YAMUNA NAGAR The Boulder, Gravel and Sand are one of the most important construction materials. These minerals are found deposited in river bed as well as adjoining areas. These aggregates of raw materials are used in the highest volume on earth after water. Therefore, it is the need of hour that mining of these aggregates should be carried out in a scientific and environment friendly manner. In an endeavour to achieve the same, District Survey Report, apropos “the Sustainable Sand Mining Guidelines” is being prepared to identify the areas of aggradations or deposition where mining can be allowed; and identification of areas of erosion and proximity to infrastructural structural and installations where mining should be prohibited and calculation of annual rate of replenishment and allowing time for replenishment after mining in that area. 1. Introduction:- Minor Mineral Deposits: 1.1 Yamunanagar district of Haryana is located in north-eastern part of Haryana State and lies between 29° 55' to 30° 31 North latitudes and 77° 00' to 77° 35' East longitudes. The total area is 1756 square kilometers, in which there are 655 villages, 10 towns, 4 tehsils and 2 sub-tehsils. Large part of the district of Yamunanagar is situated in the Shiwalik foothills. The area of Yamuna Nagar district is bounded by the state of Himachal Pradesh in the north, by the state of Uttar Pradesh in the east, in west by Ambala district and south by Karnal and Kurukshetra Districts. 1.2 The district has a sub-tropical continental monsoon climate where we find seasonal rhythm, hot summer, cool winter, unreliable rainfall and immense variation in temperature.

No. 64548 Religious Co-existence Especially of Brahmanism and Buddhism at Thanesar (Kurukshetra) in Ancient period, on the basis of Literary and Archaeological evidence Manoj Kumar Research Scholar , Dept. of Ancient Indian History, Culture & Archaeology Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra,Haryana, India Abstract The present paper describes Co-existence of Religions especially of Brahmanism and Buddhism at Thanesar (Kurukshetra) in the Ancient period which is demonstrated on the basis of Literary and Archaeological sources. Thus, religion is an integral part of human life. It usually obeys the laws of inheritance as it is transferred on to the new generation from the prevailing one. However, time to time new religions and cults came into existence throughout the world and at many places, these cults and religions lived together peacefully (with harmony), but in some time, these had some discords. But, Thanesar has a very clear literary and archaeological confirmation of religious co-existence with harmony which was mainly between the Brahmanism and Buddhism. Though, with the passage of time, Vedic religion divided principally into five sects like Shaivism and Vaishnavism, Shaktism, Sun and Smartism even these sects may be lived together with sympathy and devotees of all these sects paid respect to all religious groups in the region. This aspect is presented by the ancient texts. thus, to confirm the literary sources for the co-existence of religion, archaeologist conducted the excavations and explorations in this region and several archaeological remains recovered from the region particularly from Buddhist Stupa- Thanesar have been investigated for the confirmation of Religious coexistence of Brahmanism and Buddhism.

SUBSAHNANYAN DEPARTMENT Of POLITICAL SCIENCE ALIGARH MUSLIM UNIVERSITY ALI6ARH (INDIA) The thesis "Development of Regional Politics in India : A Study of Coalition of Political Parties in Uttar Pradesh" is an attempt to analyse the multifarious dimensions, actions and interactions of the politics of regionalism in India and the coalition politics in Uttar Pradesh. The study in general tries to comprehend regional awareness and consciousness in its content and form in the Indian sub-continent, with a special study of coalition politics in UP., which of late has presented a picture of chaos, conflict and crise-cross, syndrome of democracy. Regionalism is a manifestation of socio-economic and cultural forces in a large setup. It is a psychic phenomenon where a particular part faces a psyche of relative deprivation. It also involves a quest for identity projecting one's own language, religion and culture. In the economic context, it is a search for an intermediate control system between the centre and the peripheries for gains in the national arena. The study begins with the analysis of conceptual aspect of regionalism in India. It also traces its historical roots and examine the role played by Indian National Congress. The phenomenon of regionalism is a pre-independence problem which has got many manifestation after independence. It is also asserted that regionalism is a complex amalgam of geo-cultural, economic, historical and psychic factors.
