Panchang contains five different parts named as , Vaar, , Yog & Karan. And Tipno (Almanac) consists of 3 parts named as Tithi, Vaar & Nakshatra. Here brief knowledge is provided for ready reference :-

TITHIS : are 30 in a month. Every Hindu Month has 2 Fortnights. 1) Shukla -Bright Fortnights is also called as Sudi/Sahai/Sahayun, 2) Paksha-Dark Fortnights is also named as Undhai/Undhayun/Vad/Vadi/ Badi. Both Fortnights have the 15 Tithis (days), but it may vary as per the duration of the Tithi. The brighter days of Shukla Paksha is from Ekam/Pratipada/Parva to Poranmasi/Poonam/Pornima (Satyanarain) on th Poonam day we can observe Full . But when Moon rotates & comes near to the by completing 180% from 1st Digit – 1st Tithi to 15th Digit - Tithi Umas/ Amavas/ darker days-Krishna Paksh takes place. Chand/Chandrama-New Moon is visible mostly on the 1st Digit 1st Tithi (Ekam) of the Moon or on the 2nd Tithi (Beeja) of Shukla Paksha. Following are the tithis (Digits of the Moon) with different :-

DAYS : : Ravivar, Aartwar, Itwar, Ravivasare Monday : Somvar, Sumar, Chandravar, Chandravasare Tuesday: Mangalvar, Mangal, Bhomvar, Bhomvasare Wednesday: Budhvar, Budhar, Budhvasare Thursday: Guruvar, Vrishpat, Brihaspativar, Guruvasare Friday : Sukravar, Jumoo, Shukravasare Saturday : Shanivar, Chanchar, Shanivasare

Nakshatra : It is also call , Asterism. The 12 Signs (Rashis) of are divited into 27 . They are taken into consideration in Horory Astrology, Mundane Astrology. As per Indian Astrological System of 28th Nakshatra has due importance for observing the auspicious worship-pooja. The individual’s is decided depending on the Birth the Nakshatra was ruling in the Moon/Lunar Sign. Each Nakshatra has 9 parts (pada, charan) with alphabets intials which can help one to see the the name of the child born on particular time. Following are the 27 nakshatras:-
