The Labour Movement’s May Day Dinner at Orchid Country Club was attended by some 1,600 guests comprising unionists, senior government officials and management partners on 29 April 2016. The dinner also saw over 90 outstanding individuals and tripartite partners receiving the prestigious May Day awards in recognition of their significant contributions to the Labour Movement. Some 1,500 people rallied at Downtown East on May Day this year. They comprised union leaders, U Associate and U SME partners, NTUC social enterprises, communities and tripartite partners. Graced by Prime Minister , the May Day Rally also saw the Labour Movement reaffirming its commitment to becoming stronger and more inclusive to create a better future for all.
