Nov. 21, 2019 DISNEY CHANNEL ORDERS SECOND SEASON OF ANIMATED FANTASY-COMEDY 'THE OWL HOUSE' AHEAD OF ITS SERIES PREMIERE FRIDAY, JAN. 10 Disney Channel has ordered a second season of animated fantasy-comedy "The Owl House" ahead of its series premiere FRIDAY, JAN. 10 (8:45 p.m. EST), on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW. Created and executive-produced by Dana Terrace (Disney's "DuckTales"), the series follows Luz, a self-assured teenage girl who stumbles upon a portal to a magical realm where she befriends a rebellious witch, Eda, and a tiny warrior, King. Despite not having magical abilities, Luz pursues her dream of becoming a witch by serving as Eda's apprentice at the Owl House and ultimately finds a new family in an unlikely setting. View Trailer Here Coinciding with the series premiere, the DisneyNOW app will unveil an adventure game set in the supernatural world of "The Owl House," where players can join Luz on her mission to become a witch by completing tasks, collecting relics and playing mini- games. New shorts featuring Luz, Eda and King will begin rolling out in the spring on Disney Channel and Disney Channel YouTube. An exclusive "The Owl House" t-shirt, designed by the series' art director Ricky Cometa ("Steven Universe"), is currently available at Amazon.com/DisneyChannel, with additional designs debuting in January. Esses meios rapidamente ultrapassaram sua função básica enquanto transmissores de informações, vindo a ser considerados como formas de entretenimento. Partindo de suas peculiaridades constitutivas, formam hoje aquilo que entendemos por "indústria midiática" — um modelo de produção e negócio baseado em comunicação, informação, arte e entretenimento para a grande audiência, uma derivação do conceito de “indústria cultural”3 proposto por Theodor Adorno e Max Horkheimer (1985). Thomas Elsaesser (2018, p.184) acredita que tecnologias como o controle remoto, o videocassete, o equipamento de DVD, a internet e o telefone celular teriam redefinido o uso e a função das imagens em nossa sociedade. Entretanto, elas não representariam uma obsolescência do meio cinematográfico, mas sim imporiam um novo desafio, fazendo com que os conteúdos audiovisuais tivessem que se adaptar para uma nova realidade de consumo. Much has changed for the LGBTQ greater acceptance of the community, respondents who community in that time, when our first edition counted only had been exposed to LGBTQ images in media within 12 series regular LGBTQ characters across both broadcast the previous three months reported significantly higher and cable, a small fraction of what that number is today.
