Karla Crome Writer/Director

Best known for her acting in shows like MISFITS (E4), PRISONER’S WIVES (BBC) and most recently Amazon’s CARNIVAL ROW opposite Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne, Karla is also an accomplished writer for stage and screen.

Karla has written on several shows including the last two Danny Brocklehurst/ Harlan Coben series for Netflix (THE STRANGER and SAFE) and Tony Jordan's Sky One series HOOTEN AND THE LADY (Red Planet). Her critically-acclaimed play MUSH AND ME was performed at the Bush Theatre and won the Ideas Tap Underbelly Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Holden Street Theatres Award in 2014.

Karla is currently serving in the writers’ room on NEVERWHERE (Entertainment One) for Amazon. She is also developing original television series BOOMBOX for Channel 4 (Urban Myth); INHERITANCE for Sky (Snowed In Productions); and is writing an episode of Rob Williams’ upcoming show for Channel 4, SCREW.

Karla is now in post on her directorial debut short film, CANVAS 5, which BBC is financing and Georgia Goggin producing.
