Tour de Israel Premium accommodations Blue Category - Weekend warrior 7 days / 6 nights DAY 2 – NAZARETH TO THE SEA OF GALILEE

After listening to the wonderful stories about the city of Nazareth with our professional tour guide you will get ready to take the plunge into the first part of your Genesis Cycling adventure. Beginning from Har Hakfiza, which is known from the new testament as the place where Jesus Christ made the leap from the Mountain to the Valley, we will descend into the foothills of the

TOURITINERARY Tabor Mountain, the site of the battle between Barak and the army of Jabin, commanded

by Siseraduring the leadership of the Israelite judge Deborah in the mid 14th century BCE, and where we will have our first challenge for the day. A 6 kilometer long, 400m ascent, to the top of one of the best scenic spots in Israel, where you will have the opportunity to put your legs to the test. After reaching the top, refreshing your legs a bit and visit the remarkable church, we will head down and continue our journey into the rolling roads towards the Sea of Galilee. On route we will pass through incredible farm land, glorious mountain views and an open panoramic view of the Golan Mountains. After 1h we will reach our second challenge of the day, the climb to Poria. This ascent does not bare the same difficulty levels as the Tabor but can provide the burn when pushed. From the top we will sweep down towards the coast line, where we’ll begin our Sea of Galilee tour (-210m). In the first few kilometers along the coast we will stop for a brief explanation on the Yardenit Baptist Point. This is the location where Christians from around the world come to deep their bodies in the holy manner of Christian belief. We will end by arriving with our bikes to the Ein Gev beach, where you will be relieved of your machines and will be transferred to another form of travel, a nice, relaxing cruise over the calm water of the Sea of Galilee all the way to the hotel at the opposite side of the lake.

day. The base of the climb will be at the ancient city of Beit She'an, which dates back to the Egyptian Period, and is one of the historically rich destinations in the Middle East. Beit She'an has been the gatekeeper for centuries in the northern borders of Israel, as it is situated at the gateway of the Jezreel Valley and the Jordan Valley, basically separating the interior from the coast and Jerusalem from the Galilee. After learning the city's role in history, we will begin our ride to the top of Mount Gilboa, which borders the southern part of the Jezreel Valley. This 7k climb is a feast for the eyes and a furnace for the legs simultaneously. and also the lowest place on earth, the famous Dead Sea. Our decent will hit the northern coast of the Sea, which will be the opening point of our beautiful coastal ride along one of the world’s greatest jewels.
