This includes basic details such as contact information, annual budget allocations, staff numbers and remuneration of Chief Executive Officer and/or Chair of the organization. The Ministry of Justice is one of the biggest Departments in Whitehall, with an annual budget of around £10 billion. Our remit includes courts, tribunals, prisons, probation trusts and community justice centres across the United Kingdom. In order to deliver the Department’s full range of functions, we support a significant number of NDPBs to undertake some executive functions at arm’s length and to provide independent advice in relation to the justice system. 2 Ministry of Justice public bodies as of 31 March 2010 Ministry of Justice public bodies as of 31 March 2010 Administrative Justice and Tribunal Council NDPB Type Advisory Address 81 Chancery Lane London WC2A 1BQ Telephone 020 7855 5200 Fax 020 7855 5201 Email [email protected] Website www.ajtc.gov.uk Terms of Reference The Administrative Justice and Tribunals Council keeps under review the administrative justice system as a whole with a view to making it accessible, fair and efficient.
