A good ship with a good crew, she carried us through many difficult situations and did her part with honor in a great war. We shall never forget her. Capt. WILLIAM JORDAN

Entering magnificent San Francisco Bay the Tate sailed under Golden Gate Bridge and past "The Rock" (Aicatraz).

San Francisco's skyline presented a wonderful panorama to all on board. These were home waters and a friendly "port of call."
