Saturday, July 21 Downtown Bremerton The Washington Beer Commission is proud to announce the delicious beer list for the 2nd annual Bremerton Summer BrewFest, July 21, from noon - 9pm in downtown Bremerton. The event will feature 25 Washington Breweries pouring more than 60 creative, summer style brews and other brewery favorites. Bremerton Summer BrewFest tickets are available now at washingtonbeer.com and are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. The event will take place on Pacific Avenue between Burwell St. and 6th St. just three blocks from the Bremerton Ferry Terminal. This unique summer style beer festival is presented by the Washington Beer Commission and a chance for beer lovers to sample some of the lighter yet very flavorful creations from some of the state's finest craft brewers. Here is a good look at the list of Washington Breweries and their offerings for this exciting event: American Brewing Edmonds 1) Piper's Scotch Ale This Scotch Ale is a smooth, malty sweet treat! It has a beautiful, coppery red color. You will enjoy the rich mouthfeel of this ale. The overall hop characters are very low highlighting the rich malty sweetness. 32 IBUs 6% ABV 2) American Blonde This Blonde Ale is a golden straw color and appears a bit cloudy due to being unfiltered. It has delicate hop notes and a citrusy aroma. A crisp and dry palate with a touch of sweetness and low bitterness. Higher carbonation adds to the overall experience, light in body and very refreshing. A real thirst quenching beer. 16 IBUs 4.5% ABV Bainbridge Island Brewing Bainbridge Island 1) Point White Wit Point White Wit is our seasonal Belgian--style Witbier, brewed in the traditional manner with pilsner malt, wheat and oats, spiced with sweet and bitter orange peel and Indian coriander, and fermented with a classic wit strain. 25 IBUs 5.5% ABV 2) Kommuter Kolsch Our Kolsch--style ale, Kommuter uses German malt and yeast to produce a clean, lager--like beer with a malty backbone and a pleasant, slightly fruity aroma with a hint of noble hops. 25 IBUs 5.4% ABV Barhop Brewing Port Angeles 1) PA -- 7 American Pale Ale PA -- 7 is a strong, yet balanced, American Pale Ale with a soft, velvety mouth, and spicy undertones. PA -- 7 has a unique malt bill, which includes Caramel-- -Crystal, and Belgian Malts. The Hop profile of PA -- 7 includes Centennial, Cascade and Nugget hops. 7% ABV 2) Redneck Logger Redneck Logger is an easy drinking West Coast Style Pale Ale. The malt bill consists of 2 row pale, carapils and light crystal malt. We use a two hop profile of Centennial and Cascade to create a light, fresh, slightly herbal ale. This beer is for our brewery neighbors, a group of hard working men who haul logs for the timber industry. 5.4% ABV Der Blokken Brewery Bremerton 1) Sacred Hop A perfectly balanced IPA, with a smooth malty body, and a crisp hoppy finish. 2) TBA: Brewer’s Choice Diamond Knot Craft Brewing Mukilteo 1) India Pale Ale Copper--colored with a malty character up front. Intensely bitter with hints of grapefruit and cedar imparted by heavy--handed additions of Galena and Columbus hops. 40 IBUs 6.2% ABV 3) Blonde Ale Based on a pre--Prohibition lager recipe, this is a perfect summer session beer. Very light yet surprisingly complex due to the diverse grain bill. Hallertauer hops lend a slightly spicy, herbal finish. 13 IBUs 4.2% ABV Dick's Brewing Company Centralia 1) Dick's Golden Ale This offering from Dick’s is one of the lighter beers we produce. That doesn’t mean it is light in flavor! A traditional British golden ale brewed with 2--row malted barley and a touch of crystal malt, balanced with a substantial amount of hops. 5.2% ABV 2)Dick Danger Ale Our flagship beer. A large percentage of black malt gives this distinctive ale its dark brown black color and that slightly roasted flavor. Magnum hops provide a backbone of bitterness and large additions of Mt. Hood hops later in the boil come through in the finish. The result is a highly drinkable, superb dark ale which defies style guidelines and leaves you wanting more. 5.2% ABV Elysian Brewing Company Seattle 1) Men's Room Original Red Brewed for the KISW radio program of the same name, Men’s Room is amber in color with a light hop aroma and a toasty malt finish. Brewed with crisp 77 Crystal, Munich, Cara--hell, Cara--red, and Cara--vienne. Bittered with Chinook and finished with Cascade. Starting gravity 14 degrees plato (1.057), alcohol 4.3% by weight, 5.6% ABV. 2) The Immortal IPA A Northwest interpretation of a classic English style, golden copper in color and loaded with New World hop flavor and aroma. Brewed with Pale, Munich, Crystal and Cara--hell malts. Bittered with Chinook, finished with Amarillo and Centennial hops. Starting gravity 15.5° Plato (1.063), alcohol 5.25% by weight, 6.3% by volume. 54 IBU. 3) Dragonstooth Stout : Made with 10% rolled oats, roasted barley, Crystal, Munich and chocolate malts. Bittered with Magnum, finished with Cascade and Centennial hops. 36 IBU. Starting gravity 20° Plato (1.080), alcohol 6.2% by weight, 7.45% by volume. 4) Space Dust IPA :: A Totally Nebular IPA Castle Pale Ale base malt, combined with small amounts of Great Western C--15 and DextraPils, gives this beer a bright and hazy milky way hue. Chinook hops were added at the beginning and middle of the boil, followed by late and dry additions of Citra and Amarillo, giving this beer an out--of--this--world hop flavor! OG 16.8, 62 IBUs ABV 7.2% Fremont Brewing Seattle 1) Summer Ale Tangerine flower in a glass, endless days distilled into nectar of barley and hops. One grain, one hop. 5.2% ABV 2) Interurban IPA TBA Interurban India Pale is a session beer, eminently drinkable throughout the year. 6.2% ABV 3)Dark Star Oatmeal Stout w/Oak, Hazelnut & Smoked Black Pepper Oatmeal Stout with added hints of Oak, Hazelnut and Smoked Black Pepper. 8.0% ABV 4) Wandering Wheat w/ Lemon Grass & Pink Peppercorns Unfiltered Wheat Ale with the addition of Lemon Grass & Pink Peppercorns. Georgetown Brewery Seattle 1) Manny's Pale Ale Unfiltered Hoppy Pale ale, with a malty middle and a clean finish. 5.3% ABV 2) Lucille IPA Floral, citrusy and awesome. Anything so innocent and built like that just gotta be named Lucille. 6.8% ABV Grove Street Brewhouse Shelton 1) Rye--Rish Red Rye Ale A Hoppy Hybrid Rye Pale Ale & Irish Red Ale. Our Rye--Rish has a Bready malt body with a touch of a subdued spice note from both the Hops and Rye malt. 44 IBUs 5.8% ABV 2) IPAcolypse This Northwest--style IPA brewed with Yakima grown hops starts with an aggressive hop bite, which is balanced by a solid malt base and finishes with a pleasant Grapefruit--like flavor and aroma. 72 IBUs 7.2% ABV 3) Just BEET IT This Northwest Pale Ale is brewed with 75 lbs of Real Beets painstakingly cut, sliced, diced, and juiced by Grove Street Staff. The beets were used in the mash, boil, and in the Fermentor, giving this hoppy pale a not so pale RED Color. 64 IBUs 6.7% ABV Hale's Ales Brewery and Pubs Seattle & Silverdale 1) Hale's Supergoose IPA Aggressively Dry Hopped and rich in hop aroma and flavor, Hale's Supergoose is nonetheless well balanced and drinkable. If you love NW IPA's you gotta try Hale's Supergoose. 87 IBUs 7.1%ABV 2) Hale's Kolsch Hale's version of this traditional German light ale won a gold medal in the 2010 GABF. It's similar to a pilsner in flavor, light, subtle and thirst quenching. A great warm weather beer. 19 IBUs 5% ABV 3) Hales "25" Belgian The first edition of this beer was brewed to celebrate Hales 25th anniversary back in 2008 (if you do the math that means we are 30 years old next year!). True to style "25" is moderately strong, very malty and possesses the unique flavors imparted by Belgian yeast. 42 IBUs 8.4% ABV 4) Hale's Chardonnay Wit A tart refreshing beer aged in Hungarian Chardonnay barrels. Oak, green grape and citrusy acidity prevail. A complex but easy drinking treat, brewed for fun and festivals. 3 IBUs 5.2% ABV 5) Aftermath Imperial IPA Rich, full and complex, Aftermath Imperial IPA is, simply put, a HUGE IPA! Limited supply so get it while you can. 100+ IBUs 9.2% ABV Harmon Brewing Tacoma 1) Mt. Takhoma Blonde A light bodied, crisp and refreshing brew. German Pilsner malt and a touch of wheat. Liberty hops provide balance. 18 IBUs 4.4% ABV 2) One Hope Wonder IPA Brewed with Sterling Hops and 3 malted barleys, including Belgian Chateau Abby barley. Dry hopped. 100 IBUs 6.1% ABV Hood Canal Brewery Kingston 1) Agate Pass Amber Agate Pass Amber is a nice hoppy amber ale with a dark honey color. The aroma includes nuts and honey, with a pear sweetness. Then you get some toast and honey, followed by steadily increasing hop flavors. 5.5% ABV 2) Dabob Bay IPA Dabob Bay IPA has a golden color and a prominent hop flavor provided by numerous hop additions during the boil and dry hopping in the kegs.
