We are ready for a lot of fun and excitement in the new year, and we hope many families will join us! Be sure to put the following on your calendars: -Friday, January 6 during school: May Day Poster entries are due! -Tuesday, January 10 at 7:30 pm in the library: May Day Meeting—We have a bunch of dedicated volunteers heading up various areas, but we can always use more! -Friday, January 20 in the gym: East Hanover's Talent Show: "Going to the Movies"! Come see the biggest group of tal- ented kids ever involved in a PTO talent show. During intermission, vote for your favorite May Day Poster! -Tuesday, January 24 at 5:00 pm in the library: PTO meeting (snacks, free babysitting, info about upcoming events and a chance to share your ideas about fundraising for 2012-2013) -Friday, February 10 at 6:30 pm in the gym: Family Movie Night and 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off! Get your recipes ready, bring blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy the company of other EH families while we watch a movie and munch! We'd also like to thank all the families that helped out for our annual Santa Shop and our Teacher Appreciation Cookie Exchange. The fifth grade group picture will be taken in late spring, and will also be at no cost. A Note from Mrs. Gillis… The cold winter days are here. Please try to give you child at least fifteen minutes of active play each day. Running around the yard or house, sledding, skating, riding bike or walking the dog are just a few activities that will increase cardio endurance. Fourth and Fifth graders can enjoy complimentary ski packages by going to www.skipa.com Lost and Found Box Our weather keeps changing so it’s easy to forget or leave behind coats, hats, gloves etc. If you are missing an article of clothing please check the lost and found box here at school. Items left behind on the bus are also put in the lost and found box here at school.
