Born in London of Sligo parents, Noel’s bows have become greatly revered and admired worldwide by musicians of the highest calibre. He includes amongst the musicians playing his bows: Anthony Marwood, Isabelle van Keulen, Lawrence Power and Tim Vogler of The Vogler Quartet. The bows will be demonstrated by performers from the festival and will be available to try after the lecture. Venue: Teach Ban Nua Art Gallery, Drumcliffe Time: 2:00pm & 4:00 pm Free event • All Welcome Late Night Festival Club with Festival Guest Artists Join us for our late night concert and a complimentary glass of wine in The Elsinore, Yeats Country Hotel, Rosses Point, Sligo. This programme offers an exciting and eclectic mix of classical and contemporary works performed by an interesting mix of our festival guests in the relaxed atmosphere of the recently refurbished Yeats Country Hotel. The programme will include works by Ravel, Dvořák, Piazzolla, Niculescu, Zinzadse, Pierné and Massenet performed by the artists of the festival. Sligo Duration: 1 hour Cost: €15/12 Time: Reception 10:00pm Concert: 10:15pm SUNDAY 6th May New Music Literary Trail: Walk & Talk Music in Drumcliffe in partnership with the Contemporary Music Centre invite you to take a musical journey with composer Benjamin Dwyer who will lead a Walk & Talk lecture around the New Music Literary Trail inviting participants to engage in discussions on the four works and their association with Drumcliffe’s own W.B. Yeats. Venue: All meet in Drumcliffe Tea House Time: 1:30 pm Free Event • All Welcome Daily Events Music in Drumcliffe: New Music Literary Trail In partnership with the Contemporary Listening Post 1 Music Centre, Music in Drumcliffe presents an outdoor music trail in the grounds of Brian Boydell: St. Columba’s Church, Drumcliffe and its Four Yeats environs, celebrating the rich connections Poems between W.B. Yeats and Irish composers.
