Training Let your competition liaison know which TWO of the (FREE) awareness trainings you would like scheduled in February and March. These activities will enhance your community’s knowledge of safe driving and stress the dangers of driving distracted.

Virtual Presentations Available: ○ Passenger Safety Project -The Passenger Safety Project at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service works to reduce deaths and injuries from motor vehicle crashes by increasing the use of child restraints and safety belts. The project’s emphasis is on increasing the correct use of child safety seats across Texas. We have a presentation available to share with you. Learn more about the initiative here.

○ When Sean Speaks Presentation -When Sean Speaks in an organization dedicated to spreading the word that Alcohol, Automobiles and Asphalt don't mix. It is just as important to be careful of whose car you get into as a passenger. Sean and his mom have a powerful message to share with you and can do so virtually. Learn more about their story here.

○ Dont Drive InTexticated Video(AAA Foundation) - Texting and driving can have the same

ONE LIFE LOST IS ONE TOO MANY. consequences as drinking and driving: deaths and injuries. You don’t drive intoxicated, so don’t drive intoxicated. Share this handout, along with the video for tips to prevent you from driving “intexticated”.

Activities Available

○ In person interaction/presentation, or activity which enforces the distracted driving message. This can be presented by a local Sherrif, PIO, or SAFE 2 SAVE ambassador. Our team is happy to connect you to individuals in the area. Due to COVID we have these prepared for working in a way that social distancing happens yet an impact is made.

○ Victim of Distracted Driving -Invite a victim of distracted driving to share their testimonial, virtually or in person. Sadly, many of us have been impacted by distracted driving.

○ Kailee Mills Foundation Crash Car (TxDOT funded) - The Kailee Mills Foundation was started after devastated parents lost their 16 year old daughter in a car crash in 2017. The organization strives to encourage everyone to buckle up and drive safely. Learn more about the organization here.
