The Red Foxes shot 31.9% from the fi eld in the game, and only 26.1% in the second half. Marist’s 43 points are the low- est output for the team since scoring 48 in a win over the Bonnies last season, and the lowest on the road since scoring 45 points at UConn in the 2005-06 season opener. APPROACHING MORE CAREER MILESTONES: While she broke all of Marist’s scoring records last season, senior forward Rachele Fitz is closing in on a couple more career records. With her 13 points Friday night, Fitz now has 1,996 points and is only four points away from becoming the fi rst women’s basketball player at Marist to score 2,000 career points. She will also become only the second Marist basketball player, male or female, to reach that mark. Marist Among The Nation’s Best Steve Smith scored 2,077 points for the men’s team from 1979-83. Fitz also (Thru 12/6/09) is now third all-time in rebounds with 845, 43 behind Marist’s all-time leader Stacey Dengler.
