Wisconsin State CMP Vintage Match Wisconsin State Vintage and Open Team Match July 3th, 2020 Location: Eau Claire, WI. From hwy “53” exit North Crossing follow hwy “Q” east 4 ½ miles to hwy “L” South 1 mile to hwy “QQ” east 1 mile to range. Address: 8768 N. Shore Dr. Eau Claire, WI.54703 Match Schedule: Firing begins around 1 pm after morning M1 match, registration opens immediately after. Eligibility: All are welcome to shoot. Shooters must be firing original or replica military sniper issued by any country, dated 1953 or earlier to win CMP sanctioned awards. An Open or "out of competition" category will be offered for any shooters with scoped bolt action rifles or semi-auto such as the M1A, AR-15. Open/iron sights on the M1, M1A and AR will be shot in Open Class. Match will be shot from supplied sandbags. Military M1907 or M1 slings or as-issued may be used in lieu of sandbags. You can lay a one layer towel over the sandbag. Only safe ammo allowed. Rules: CMP rules will govern. Rifles will be in accordance with CMP regulations for a Vintage Sniper Rifle Team Match Rules 6.0 thru 6.6. As issued US Military Sniper Rifles and accessories, see rule 6.2.1-3, Table 7 for eligible rifles. See CMP most recent Competition Rules. Scoring: Target SR-3 used at 300yds and Target MR-1 used at 600 yards. Competitors will serve as target pullers and scorekeepers. Course of Fire: Defined by Rule 6.5.1. Each 2 man team member will fire 10 rounds for record at the 300 yard range and then move to the 600 yard range. Each 2 man team member will then fire 10 rounds for record at 600 yards, for a total of 40 record rounds. Each team will have a 3 minute preparation period and a 5 minutes of unlimited sighters at both the 300 and 600 yard range before shooting for record. Shooting will start at the 300-yard line and then move to the 600-yard line after all competitors have completed their 300 yard firing. Targets will be up for 20 second and pulled down and scored for twenty seconds for a total of 10 times per shooter. After the 10th round there will be a 2 minute change over period for the other shooter to get into the firing position. The targets will then cycle 10 times as they did for the first shooter. Score keepers will record all shots fired for record. Team members will assist each other as needed. Camping: Primitive camping available at the range.
