What’s more is that San Luis Obispo residents know they have something special and are committed to keeping it that way. This is a community that comes together over shared values and is willing to put in the work to make sure it lives on and thrives. This commitment radiates through the SLO Chamber’s updated economic vision, Imagine San Luis Obispo. In developing the vision over two years, the Chamber engaged more than 1,100 locals from throughout the county of all ages and occupations. Over and over, they articulated the values enshrined in Imagine SLO: working together to shape our shared future, preserving and enhancing the quality of what we call “the SLO life,” championing the doers, dreamers and innovators to business success, stewarding our incredible natural resources and embracing connection and lifelong learning. These values directly inform the policies and actions the SLO Chamber and other leaders will advocate for in coming years to This guide holds personal significance to me.
