Pledge of Allegiance – President Noble led the Pledge of Allegiance. D. Recognition of Visitor 1. Jaqueline VanZant – Mrs. VanZant addressed the Board about her frustration with the High School not acknowledging the Competition Cheer Team participating at the State Competition this past weekend. She was also concerned about the lack of school spirit. 2. Davena Wilson – Mrs. Wilson was upset that none of the Cheer Competition events were on the High School’s Twitter account. Mrs. Wilson also expressed her frustration of the lack of coverage of the Cheer Competition. 3. Shelly Werts – Ms. Werts was concerned about bussing for her son when he starts 6th grade next year. 4. Chris Hartley – Mr. Hartley said he feels his kids should get bus transportation to and from school. Mr. Hartley said our focus should be education and getting kids to school safely, not sports. E. Executive Session To consider the employment of a public employee or official. Dr. Curry, Rachel Tait, Scott Couch, and Jeffrey Wassom were invited to participate in executive session.
