This year's race drew nearly 3,000 runners for the marathon, with some 2,100 finishers, In addition, this time 13 people qualified for the Olympic trials and more than 200 met personal goals of qualify ing for the Boston Marathon. The success of a race like this can only occur through the dedicated efforts of many volunteers. This year nearly 300 people donated their time to make this event come off as smoothly as it did. We also extend our thanks and congratulations to all of the sponsors, and look forward to much success at the 11th Annual White Rock Marathon. For all of you who enjoyed this year's race, we plan to make next year's marathon even better (we will all have to pray for a repeat of the weather since that is the one thlng we can't control).
