法務省の在留外国人統計から在日中国人ランキング。法務省の統計によると在日外国人の中で 中国人が最も多く、2015 年 6 月現在の在住者は 65.6 万人で、人口 100 人あたり 0.52 人という計 算になる。

1991 年以来の推移を見ると、急速に数を増やした中国人は 2007 年に韓国・朝鮮人を上まわり、 国籍別で最多となったが、リーマンショック以降は減少に転じている。

在日中国人が最も多いのは東京都で人口 100 人あたり 1.25 人。以下、埼玉県、千葉県、岐阜県、 神奈川県と続いている。

東京都、千葉県、埼玉県といった東京周辺部ではコンビニや飲食店などで働く中国人が多いこと が理由だと思われる。また、岐阜県、愛知県は製造業の事業所が多く、工場労働者として中国人 が多数働いていると思われる。また、神戸や横浜、長崎には中華街もあるが、全国レベルではそ れほど大きな影響を与えていないようだ。 一方、在日中国人が最も少ないのは青森県で 0.10 人。この他、沖縄県、秋田県、和歌山県、宮 崎県など地方に在日中国人が少ない。

相関ランキングでは最低賃金や県民所得、サラリーマン年収と正の相関が高く、賃金水準が高い ところに中国人が多い。”ニューカマー”として昭和 50 年代から増えてきた中国人は都市部の サービス業、地方の工場を中心に所得や賃金が高いところに集まっているようだ。 データ出典 在留外国人統計
