ABSTRACT The triangular Hill Fort Shivneri had been used by Yadvas of Ancient Devagiri Kingdom as guard / check post and old trading route from Desh ( interior country ) to the Arabian Sea Port City of Kalyan . The Junnar city was an important trade centre in the 1st century AD during Satvahana Kingdom reign in the region. The military fortification was made by the Maratha Cheifs in 17th century (1630 AD) . The great Hindu Maratha worrier Chhattrapati Shivaji was born at the Fort on 19th February 1630 AD and his name was dedicated to GodessShivai Devi of fort. The rigid and highly stable grounds of Shivneri Hill provide the intact super structure of ShivneriFort . The horizontal flat topped plateaue table lands are rigid and compact in nature, belonging to the trappean basaltic rocks of Cretaceaous ages. The fort was under possession of Maratha Chief (Bhonsale) from 1595 AD till the Anglo – Maratha war of 1820 AD . In this study, the lithologic and geomorphic characteristics of Shivneri Hill region and suitability of fortification under existing physical domain of the territory has been interpreted and analysed using saterllite imagery data of the terrain.

LOCATION & GEOGRAPHICAL DATA: Ahmednagar is the largest district of Maharashtra State in respect of area, popularly known as “Nagar”. Introduction: Chronic histological changes within kidneys at transplantation may predict graft outcomes, suggesting that pre- implantation biopsies can inform organ utilisation decisions. Analyses from Cambridge have shown an inconsistent association between the Remuzzi score on wedge biopsy and graft survival. We sought to determine whether histological changes at transplantation were predictive of graft outcomes. Methods: We performed a retrospective analysis of adult single deceased donor kidney-only transplants between 2005-2015. Core biopsies (16G) taken after re-perfusion were examined by consultant renal histopathologists, and a Karpinski (K) score was assigned (0-12). Donor and recipient variables were collected; 1-, 3-, and 5-year graft function (eGFR – 4 variable MDRD) and death-censored graft survival (DCGS) were recorded. Recipients were grouped by K-score threshold (group A <4; group B 4+; group C <5; group D 5+). Multivariate and linear regression analyses were performed to determine independent risk factors for DCGS and 1-year eGFR, respectively. Results: 587 recipients had biopsies performed. 401 (68%) were adequate for K-scoring (DBD/DCD 267/134; median (IQR) donor age 51 (41-59) years; K-score 4 (2-5)).
