Downloading and Installing CCleaner

CCleaner is a PC optimization tool that can help clean up a slow computer. Computers can get slower and slower as unused files build up on your system. CCleaner can clean up these old files and instantly speed up your computer. This program has many other features that can be utilized at your discretion. A tutorial on how to use CCleaner is available on the Semo.edu/it website.

Step 1. Open the web browser of your choosing and access www.piriform.com/ ccleaner/download

Step 2. Once on the page, click the Download button that is located under the Free column.

1 Downloading and Installing CCLenaer Step 3a. In Internet Explorer, click Run in the gold dialog box at the bottom of the browser window.

Step 3b. In the Firefox Browser, click the downward facing arrow in the top right of the browser and click the download.

Step 3c. In Google Chrome, click the downward pointing caret at the bottom left of the browser window, then click Open.

Step 4. When opening the file, a window will pop up. From there you will need to click the Run button.

Step 5. Select your preferred language and click the Next > button.

Step 6. From the install options window, check the boxes next to your preferred options, then click the Install button

Step 7. Wait for the green installation to completely fill and tvhen click the Next > button.

Step 8. Check the boxes next to your preferred options and then click the Finish button.

Step 9. CCleaner will now be installed. Note: A tutorial on how to use CCleaner is available on the semo.edu/it/security/ maintenance.html website
