  • PM I Am Kloot 30.11.2012
FKP Scorpio Konzertproduktionen GmbH Große Elbstr. 277 a · 22767 Hamburg Tel. (040) 853 88 888 · www.fkpscorpio.com PRESSEMITTEILUNG 30.11.2012 I Am Kloot im kommenden März auf Tour Im Januar kommenden Jahres veröffentlichen I Am Kloot ihr mit Spannung erwartetes neues Studioalbum „Let It All In“.

No surprise to Mancunians, who have never been short of pride in a city that is home to two of Englands’s best football clubs, the BBC’s MediaCity, the Lowry and Imperial War Museum North. But it’s a city where the advice of a local can be crucial. The Hacienda hasn’t survived the past two decades of regeneration but Manchester still boasts England’s most innovative nightclub, the Warehouse Project, and its bohemian Northern Quarter has at least 20 record shops, plus galleries, live venues, bars and restaurants, and some great clothes shops. Drummer Andy Hargreaves is a schoolfriend and former flatmate, and Manton’s Ladies On A Chorlton Subjective Bench (2002) was used on the back of Natural History, the band’s first album. Certainly, the pallor of Manton’s subjects perfectly complements Kloot songwriter Jonny Bramwell’s dry Manchester-inspired musings. “The way their faces are dishevelled and weather experience beaten, they are just more crumpled and interesting to look at than the average Joe in their pinstriped suit,” Manton explains. “The people on street corners, the people at bus stops – that is what really makes the Stacey Manton’s paintings of homeless people and city for me.” After training in graphic design at Stockport those on the edge of society can be unsettling. But, College, Manton moved to Hong Kong aged just 18 to work as an illustrator. But as his salary increased, so says Helen Clifton, they give his subjects a larger- did his frustration.
