The plan now has some policy changes and had some bits taken out to meet the examination stage based on Lavendon’s examination. The Emberton plan would be using the same examiner as the one for Lavendon and the examiner had worked with the consultant previously. The plan would be sent out to the parish council next week; once approved by the parish council, it would be sent to MKC’s neighbourhood planning officer for comment which would take a couple of weeks. Mr Laval stated that he would like to bring the plan to the Febraury parish council meeting to formally agree it with whatever changes had been highlighted.

  • Lavendon Neighbourhood Plan 2019 to 2031
LAVENDON PARISH COUNCIL Lavendon Neighbourhood Plan 2019 to 2031 Regulation 15, Submission Version June 2019 This page is intentionally blank LAVENDON NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN Contents Introduction 3 Plan Making Process 8 Community Engagement 11 Our vision 13 Environment 15 Character and Design 19 Flood Risk 23 Highways and Transport 26 Community 30 Housing 33 Business and Employment 39 Proposals Map Annex Annex A: Ancient Monuments and Listed Buildings Annex B: Consideration of Potential Housing Sites Annex C: Glossary LAVENDON NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN Foreword Lavendon is the most northerly village in the county of Buckinghamshire. First mentioned in the Domesday book of 1086 as Lauuendene, we also have the remains of the twelfth century castle built by the De Bidun family. Much later the village was on the route of the Jarrow March on London of 1936. Much has changed since these times and the village has gradually grown to accommodate the people who want to live in this attractive rural setting. The village does, however, have its own character and this is something that we all want to protect as the village moves forward and develops over the coming years. The Lavendon Neighbourhood Plan has been developed to deliver, where possible, the local community’s aspirations in terms of development, infrastructure, heritage protection, green spaces and bio-diversity enhancement and will be in force up until 2031, although it will be regularly revisited to ensure it is still meeting the objectives of the community. The preparation of the Neighbourhood Plan has been funded by a government grant. Since work commenced on the preparation of the plan, significant housing development has been granted around the village.
