Dividend payment has been evidenced to reduce agency conflict; thus, reducing agency cost. This study examines the effect of ownership structure on dividend policy of listed insurance firms in Nigeria. Ownership structure was proxied by managerial ownership and institutional ownership. The study employs secondary data extracted from the audited financial reports of twenty six (26) sampled insurance firms listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) that have their annual financial reports available over the period 2013 to 2017. The study used fixed effect panel regression result for the analysis. The analysis revealed that managerial ownership has a significant effect on dividend policy with institutional ownership having a negative and insignificant effect on dividend policy. Based on the findings of the study, it is recommended that listed insurance firms in Nigeria should focus more on managerial ownership in their quest to achieve the payment of dividend to every shareholder. This has become necessary in view of the fact that managers having shareholdings in the firm will make them work wholeheartedly because of the return they would receive on their shareholdings.

    Subsurface stratigraphic mapping using geoelectric method and its impact on development in Federal College of Education (technical) Gusau, Zamfara State, Nigeria K. A. Murana, P. Sule, A.L. Obande REVIEW A resistivity survey has been carried out in order to determine the subsurface stratigraphic mapping of Federal College of Education (Technical), Gusau, Zamfara State. Twenty - four Vertical Electrical Soundings (VES) have been conducted with maximum current electrode separations of 200 m. Schlumberger array has been used. WinGlink software has been used in interpreting the results. Two and three subsurface layers exist in the study area. The first layer has resistivity values ranging from 1 to 522 Wm and thickness 0.40 to 2.29 m, the topsoil is predominantly clay. The second geoelectric layer has resistivity values that varies from 5.0 to 4 000 Wm with thickness 0.37 to 17 m, lithology of the second layer varies from sandy clay to weathered/fractured sandstone while the third layer resistivity ranges from 50.0 to 9 900 Wm, the rock type in this layer vary from weathered/fractured basement to fresh basement. The topsoil thickness ranges from 0.40 to 4.0 m while the overburden thickness of the surveyed area ranges from 0.40 to 18.0 m. The study used data extracted from annual reports of listed deposit money banks in Nigeria. The study was anchored on the agency theory to establish conceptual relationship between the variables. The population of the study comprised of the 14listed deposit money banks. The adjusted population was 12 listed deposit money banks in Nigeria. The data collected were analyzed with the aid of paneled regression. The findings revealed that there is positive and significant relationship between audit industry specialization and earnings management of listed deposit money banks. However, audit tenure has negative and significant relationship with earnings management of listed deposit money banks. Based on the findings, the study recommends that regulatory authorities in Nigeria such as SEC should come out with a policy that encourages audit firms in Nigeria to create departments within their firms that specialize along industry lines of companies listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE)and that auditor tenure of three years and above for external auditors of public companies in Nigeria.

The content and support mechanism remain fundamental in curriculum issue. The study used teachers’ population and 216 samples were employed. Questionnaire instrument was used in data collection process and descriptive statistics was employed in analysing the data. The findings of the study show that content and support mechanism of the curriculum were adequate. The implication of the study revealed that content and support mechanism are capable of providing students with entrepreneurship skills require and it is recommended that periodic review of content and support mechanism in order to ensure consistency of curriculum with time and global trend. Key words: Curriculum, entrepreneurship, skills, content and support mechanism. I. Introduction Nigeria is among the countries that embrace entrepreneurship education being an effective mechanism for skills development and employment especially among youth. The country is blessed with substantial human capital and estimated that about 21% of the population are youth (NPC, 2006). Entrepreneurship has widely been recognized as the engine driving the economy and society of most nations (Carree & Thurik, 2002).
