About the memorial Source: https://www.warmemorialsonline.org.uk/memorial/179785/

“Tinted alabaster mural tablet with pillars and ornamented head.

The school was converted into a house and the tablet was put in store in a garage for about 10 years. It was then buried in the churchyard against the West wall as it was felt its condition was deteriorating.

2000: Two members of the congregation of St Peter’s Church were searching for the memorial.

Jan 2017: As it is made of alabaster its condition will have deteriorated considerably.” David Hearn.
