Wins included a victory in the 1994 when Arizona blanked Miami 29-0; a 20-14 victory over New Mexico in the 1997 Insight.com Bowl; and the most recent win came in 1998 when Arizona defeated Nebraska 23-20 in the Culligan Holiday Bowl. Few events in collegiate athletics match the excitement and reward of a bowl game. Prior to the 90s, Arizona brought home big bowl game victories against North Carolina in the 1986 Aloha Bowl, with a 30-21 win, and against North Carolina State, 17-10, in the 1989 Copper Bowl.
