Grande Prairie Mainline Line Loop No. 4 (Valhalla North Section) - Valhalla North Section The Valhalla North Section consists of approximately 33 km of NPS 48 pipeline loop located on 95% Crown and 5% freehold lands. The Valhalla North Section begins at a tie-in location at NGTL’s existing Saddle Hills Compressor Station within SE 05-079-09 W6M, approximately 81 km northwest of Grande Prairie, Alberta, and continues to an existing valve site within NE 29-075-09 W6M, approximately 54 km northwest of Grande Prairie, Alberta. The Valhalla North Section will require new permanent land rights. The Valhalla North Section parallels NGTL’s existing Grande Prairie Mainline pipeline right-of-way (ROW) and is contiguous with existing disturbance (third-party pipeline ROWs and crossings of powerline easements and road allowances). The installation will consist of two new 30 MW compressor units and NPS 48 yard piping. The Emerson Creek CS will require new permanent land rights and will also require a temporary construction camp located on Crown land within the SE¼ 31-055-20 W5M.
