13 May 2008 NEW EXECUTIVE APPOINTMENTS AT SKYCITY AUCKLAND Following the restructure of the SKYCITY Auckland casino and hotel businesses, the Chief Executive of SKYCITY, Nigel Morrison, today announced the appointment of the following senior executives to the Auckland operations: Ejaaz Dean: Executive Manager – Table Games, SKYCITY Auckland Casino. Ejaaz Dean has been appointed Executive Manager – Table Games. Ejaaz has more than 20 years experience in the casino industry, having previously held key management positions at Burswood Casino in Perth, Star City in Sydney and Crown Casino in Melbourne. His most recent role was as Chief Operating Officer - Gaming at Burswood Casino, where he was responsible for Table Games, Gaming Machines and International Business. As Executive Manager – Table Games, Ejaaz will be responsible for managing SKYCITY’s table games business in the SKYCITY Auckland casino. Matthew Hardman: Executive Manager – Gaming Machines, SKYCITY Auckland Casino. Matthew Hardman has been appointed Executive Manager – Gaming Machines. He also has 20 years experience in the casino industry, with a history in start-up gaming operations and industry-leading businesses including Crown Casino and Star City. Most recently, Matthew was General Manager of Gaming Machine Operations at Crown in Melbourne. As Executive Manager – Gaming Machines, Matthew will be responsible for managing the gaming machines business of the SKYCITY Auckland casino. Simon joined SKYCITY in September 2007. He will be responsible for SKYCITY’s two luxury Hotels in Auckland, The Grand and the SKYCITY Hotel, the SKYCITY Convention Centre, the Sky Tower and SKYCITY’s award winning restaurants. With more than 25 years experience in large-scale hospitality businesses, Simon brings a wealth of commercial and global tourism experience to the SKYCITY business. Having held several international general management and director roles, Simon has opened five luxury hotels in New Zealand and Asia, and served as a director of the New Zealand Tourism Association. Mr Morrison said “We are delighted to have secured the talent of such experienced gaming executives as Ejaaz and Matt, and together with Simon running our Auckland hotels, we are confident that we can deliver our plans for our SKYCITY Auckland casino and hotels businesses.” Both gaming appointments are subject to regulatory approval. MARKET RELEASE 1 May 2020 Update on Impacts of COVID-19 SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited (SKC.NZX/SKC.AX) (“SkyCity”) announces the following update on the impacts of the current COVID-19 crisis. Operating Update New Zealand In New Zealand, all SkyCity properties continue to remain closed following the New Zealand Government’s decision to move to Alert Level 3 of the COVID-19 Alert system at 11.59pm on 27 April 2020. However, at Alert Level 3, SkyCity has recommenced work on various key development projects. This work was not permissible during the Alert Level 4 lockdown as all non-essential construction activity in New Zealand was not permitted under the order made under section 70 of the Health Act 1956. Key development projects reactivated by SkyCity this week include: • refurbishment of premium gaming rooms on Levels 8 and 9 of the main site in Auckland; • development of new food and beverage venues (to be called ‘Food Republic’) adjacent to the main casino floor in Auckland; • refurbishment of the Aces Bar, and creation of a new entertainment zone, on the main casino floor in Auckland; • ongoing refurbishment and maintenance works on the AA Building in Auckland; and • refurbishment of part of the main casino floor, including a new Baccarat area, in Hamilton. Work on the development of the All Blacks Experience and Weta Workshop attractions at the existing SkyCity Auckland Convention Centre has also resumed this week. An update on the New Zealand International Convention Centre and Horizon by SkyCity hotel project in Auckland is provided below. Whilst SkyCity’s properties remain closed at Alert Level 3 in New Zealand, authorised personnel are permitted on-site to prepare the businesses for re-opening.
