BLOOD DONATION CAMP ON 1ST JULY, 2020 We are delighted that our DG Sudip 1st July - On 1st July 2020, District3291 organised a mega Blood Donation camp at M u k h e r j e e i s several venues, across our State and have collected 352 units of Blood, donated by selected as the Rotarians, their family members and friends. Three donors from our club, Sri Arun secretary of the Kumar & Sri Rakesh Kumar at Rotary Sadan & Sri Bappa Kundu at Thakurpukur Cancer hospital, donated blood on that G o v e r n o r s occasion. Outgoing President Rtn. Adrija handed over the Collar, Hammer & Gravel to the Incoming President Rtn. Ashit Kumar Sinha. They exchanged gift among themselves. The Secretary also handed over a gift to IPP Adrija. Mementos were presented to the AG & ZS from the club as a token of good will. ZS greeted New President Rtn. Ashit with a beautiful Card. CELEBRATION OF SILVER JUBILEE YEAR OF OUR CLUB ON 4TH JULY, 2020 4th July - CELEBRATION OF SILVER JUBILEE YEAR OF OUR CLUB:RCNB completed 25 years on 28th June, 2020. (Club was Chartered on 28th June 1996). On the occasion of Club's Silver Jubilee celebration, chartered member PDG Angsuman Bandyopadhyaydiscussed the golden old days – how our founder president Rtn. Arati Dutta,who being a member of RC Calcutta South West, that time, formed this club with the help of DG Alok Chand Mitra of RC East Calcutta who sponsored this club. Secretary gave delicious chocolates to all the members and the guests to celebrate the said occasion. COTS AND CLUB ASSEMBLY ON 4TH JULY, 2020 4th July - COTS & CLUB ASSEMBLY – COTS & CLUB ASSEMBLY of the Club was held on 4th July, 2020 at “Tintin and the Brussels Club” Restaurant, located at Hindusthan Park. AG Shampa Ghosh & ZS Chitra Das were present on the occasion. Club trainer PDG Angsuman Bandyopadhyay conducted the COTs and Club Assembly duly assisted by the AG & ZS.He started with introducing all the club members personally to the District officials (AG & ZS). He then shared essential information for club officers in brief as like “Rotary Vision statement, Club Leadership Plan, Avenues of Service, Core values of Rotary, President Rtn. Ashit Kr. Sinha handing over a token of New Strategic priorities & objectives, Guiding principles, Seven Areas of Focus etc. He explained club appreciation to AG Rtn. Shampa Ghosh constitution & bylaws, with project planning for upcoming Rotary year- how club members would accomplish their projects following 7 areas of focus keeping also in mind the Covid pandemic. He requested AG & ZS to share their views. AG & ZS both praised our efforts on club Projects and requested to follow the guide lines of R.I., forming an effective committee as per club leadership plan, etc. Copy of Club Constitution, Club By- laws, budget, list of club board members &a hard copy of club bulletin, “Setu” were handed over to them. They felt satisfied with the papers. They told club members to attend different training programmes of Rotary District 3291, Zonal and of Rotary International, to update the goals in RotaryClub Central, to send the semi-annual and other dues in time, etc. Secretary Rtn. GREEN EXPEDITION - TREE PLANTATION DISASTER Chitra Das PROGRAM ON 18TH JULY, 2020 MANAGEMENT RCNB has sponsored 2 Shelter Kits for the Amphan affected people at Hasnabad area. As already confirmed by Rotary India Humanity Foundation, 3 matching Shelter Kits were sponsored by them against our 2, making total 200 out of 500 shelter boxes being despatched to Hasnabad contribution of RCNB as Five. Last Instalment despatched to Hasnabad MIRPUR& KHARIBERIYA VISIT ON 23RD AUGUST, 2020 RCNB organized a tree plantation programme at RCC Mirpur Rural Centre & International Mother's Mission School at Khariberia, on Sunday 23rd August, 2020. They planted 72 saplings – 42 saplings at the green areas of RCC Mirpore Rural Centre & 30 saplings at the premises of Mothers Mission International School at Khariberia. Out of the 72, 22 Nos. (10 Mehagani's, 5 Segun's& 5 sal's)had been arranged by RCNB, whereas 52 Saplings(10 Mehagani, 1 Debdaru, 13 Arjune, 4 Members of RCNB planting saplings at RCC Mirpur Rural Members of RCNB planting saplings at Khariberia Radhachura, 7 Tekoma, 4 Amloki, 7 Sonajhuri/Akashmaoni, 5 Centre Puonjeba/Pashimi Jui & 1 Jui) were gifted by Rotary Club of Ganga Heritage, Kolkata, in a good will gesture. Rotary Club New Ballygunge in association with our RCC Bandhur Sparsha had organized a nice programme for distribution of 400 masks to the Bus workers of Patuli Central Bus stand .Vegetable vendors at Patuli market and members of ‘Jatra Suru Sangha’ club members of Garia. This project of our club for the noble cause against protection of COVID 19 Virus was attended by our Club members, President Rtn. Ashit Sinha, Secy Anuradha Bysack, PP Rtn. Sanmoy Guha and Rtn. Sagnik Bhattacharya, Chairman Club Public Image Committee along with the members of Bandhur Sparsha. Dr Basuli Chakravorty of Bandhur Sparsha and Rtn. Anuradha Bysack had explained the need of wearing masks to the beneficiaries. The news was broadcasted in the ABP Ananda on the same day.     PRESS NOTE Are you a resident of Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC)/ New Town Kolkata Development Authority (NKDA) area/Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation, and an expectant 2nd dose COVID vaccinee, who has taken the 1st dose in a private hospital and are now anxious about how to get the 2nd dose, as there are no vaccines available with them for you? If yes, did you know that you may walk into any government health facility of the KMC, NKDA or BMC for getting your 2nd dose, free of cost? However, if your 2nd dose is overdue (>56 days from first dose of Covidshield or >42 days for Covaxin),then just walk into the facilities mentioned (list given). You shall be administered the second dose. For your greater convenience, the government has tagged each private hospital with a government health facility (please see list given) which you can walk into and get your 2nd dose. For example, if you have taken your 1st dose in AMRI Dhakuria, then you should ideally visit the government health facility which is tagged to AMRI Dhakuria i.e., KMC Urban Primary Health Centre - 87 for Covishield and KMC Urban Primary Health Centre - 90 for Covaxin. You can also visit any of the major Government hospitals given in the list for taking your 2ndvaccine dose in a similar walk-in manner, and get yourself vaccinated for free. For vaccination at the said government facilities, please carry one of your photo identification documents like Voter ID/Aadhaar/Passport/PAN Card etc. along with a proof of your first dose of vaccine received (i.e the SMS which you had received on receipt of first dose) The State Government is working to evolve a more precise and convenient information dissemination system for the benefit of all intending COVID vaccines.
