This was Sir Leon Simon’s copy. Sir Leon Simon was an active Zionist, a member of the Palestine Commission in 1918 and the Palestine Education Commission in 1945. He translated the Balfour Declaration into Hebrew and was a protégé of Weizmann and Ahad Haam. It has Sir Leon’s name (in his writing, dated Jan 1916) on front free endpaper. [ref: 13046 ] £75
