The Gridiron Report Winter 2011 2010 Football Season Review A Message from Coach Blaise Faggiano Dear alumni, parents, and friends,

Inside this issue: This past season the Pioneers had their best start in program history (4-0), setting the school-record for consecutive victories. At one point, UC was leading the nation in scoring with an average of 59.67 points per game. Utica broke several school-records in- Message from Coach cluding points in a single game (78), pass completions (231), passing and receiving yards 1 Faggiano (2,742), passing yards per game (274.2), total offensive yards (4,007), total yards of of- fense per game (400.7), all purpose yards (5,049), total tackles (805) and quarterback sacks (24). Nine Pioneers received All-Conference Honors. Three Pioneers, Rick Ra- Pioneer Progress Report 2 dos, Brendon Ring, and Travis Ladd represented Utica College in the Division III Senior Classic All-Star Game in Salem, VA. The North defeated the South for the second con- secutive year 26-18. Pioneers and the 2011 2 This past fall marked our first ever televised game on Time Warner Sports. The Quebec Classic game featured a great Homecoming Victory vs. Wilkes University and a crowd of 3,000+ fans. We also participated in our first ever home night game which drew a crowd of 2010 Pioneer Football 3 5,000+ fans. We will continue to play at least one night game per year in the future. Graduating Class I commend our coaches and players for their tireless effort and commitment to our program. I want to thank all of you who have made donations to our program, your gener- osity is much appreciated.
