We have experience of more than 35 years of handling school / college tours / mini excursion / projects / camps / adventure projects for the student groups. In fact, many progressive educational institutions now make such visits a part of their curriculum so that factual & practical first-hand knowledge can be acquired and the time is equally divided between entertainment & enlightenment. The greatest lesson they learn is tolerance & respect towards others & to live in harmony with all types of persons. From the mountains of Kashmir to the beaches of Kanya Kumari and from the deserts of Rajasthan to the remote eastern state of Assam, India is dotted with temples, caves, forts, tombs and monuments which are well-worth a visit. Even the neighbouring countries like Sri Lanka, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Mauritius, China, Dubai, etc. have become more accessible with the affordable air fares. The teachers can select one or more excursions for their own division or standard. The short excursions can be combined with weekends and public holidays, during school term or during the holidays. Railway bookings now open 120 days in advance and tickets are sold out within a few minutes on the opening day. Please note that for Railway Bookings, we require the name of the students, teachers and attendants if any, before making the booking, atleast 130 days in advance. This will affect even those who are not travelling by train, if they require to book good hotel accommodation for their groups. The rates are applicable for groups of 30 or more students travelling in normal train service accommodation in 3AC / Non A.C 3Tier sleeper coaches / or by Air depending upon the requirements of the institutions. While offering the list for your perusal, we may stress that we can arrange excursions to any other place to suit the needs & convenience of your institution. We can also make the basic arrangements for travel, accommodation & meals to suit your budget. We will be happy to discuss any details that you may require. Looking forward to having your students on tour with us. E XECUT IV E S UMMARY Disaster Risk Management (DRM) is based on the principle that the impacts of disasters can be reduced through appropriate preparedness, planning and management actions. The range of measures utilized in DRM policies, strategies and actions are ultimately meant to contribute to the safety and well-being of communities, at the same time protecting assets and development gains and improving services to population. The Disaster Risk Management Master Plan (DRMMP) is an analytical model based on international standards which is being prepared for Mumbai that will guide Mumbai in efficiently mainstreaming Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) at the local level through a coherent set of policies, strategies and actions. The collaborative and participatory planning process adopted in the development of the DRMMP ensures consensus and ownership among the stakeholders and enables long term institutional sustainability. By adopting the DRMMP as a management tool for disaster risk management, Mumbai will be able to mobilize institutional and community resources and provide a coherent and efficient approach of actions prior, during and after a disaster.
