Texas Realtors announce candidate support for 2018 general election
AUSTIN – Sept. 25, 2018 –The Texas Association of Realtors Political Action Committee, the political arm of the Texas Association of Realtors, announced the slate of candidates receiving its support in the November general election.
TREPAC Chairman David Alan Cox commended the candidates for their commitment to protecting private-property rights.
“Texas Realtors are proud to support these candidates because they are committed to protecting the rights of Texas property owners and ensuring Texas remains a great place to buy, sell, and lease real estate,” Cox said. “Texas voters can visit TexasRealtorsSupport.com and input their home address to see which Realtor- supported candidates are on their ballots.”
“We expect the 86th Texas Legislature to make property-tax relief a priority, and we’re looking forward to working with lawmakers to find a sustainable solution for property owners in Texas.”
Texas Realtors advocate for homeowners and private-property rights by supporting efforts to enhance the lives of Texas property owners, such as support for property tax reform in 2017 and prohibiting sales taxes on real estate in 2015, passing consumer protections against unscrupulous property-tax lenders in 2013, and eliminating most private transfer fees on real estate transactions in 2011.
