Introduction This consultation report summarises the issues raised by consultees during the consultation process. It responds to these by means of clarification and commentary, with supporting reasons. The issues arising from the consultations have been responded to under nine main themes: education; federation; transport; 21st century build projects; building condition and size; wider community; consultation quality; finance and alternative school organisation. Many of the responses relate to pupil well-being, pupil safety and pupil welfare and to the benefits to pupils of receiving their secondary education in the upper Afan Valley. These issues are addressed within the main themes and include the views of the children & young people. The view of Estyn, the schools’ inspectorate, is included in this consultation report together with notes of meetings with key stakeholders.
