Christmas Masses & Reservations

Due to Governor Lamont’s executive orders presently limiting us to a maximum capacity of 100 people per church building, as well as mandated COVID mask and social distancing requirements, we have had to adjust our schedule. We have added additional Masses, including one on Christmas Day at 11:00 a.m. reserved exclusively for people with higher-risk health conditions. The full Christmas Mass Schedule is listed below.

In light of the restrictions, seating will be extremely limited this year. Since we do not want to turn people away needlessly, everyone who will be attending a Christmas Mass needs to make a reservation, either online at www.stmaryjc.weconnect.com or by calling the rectory at 860-376-2044. If calling, you must speak to a live person to get confirmation, please do not just leave a message.

In making reservations, please be aware that your first choice may not be available; and thus, you will be asked to reserve a space at a Mass at a different time.

Why are we requiring reservations? Ordinarily, Christmas Masses have full or standing-room only attendance at Masses, and current COVID restrictions allow for only a fraction of that number of people to attend. We do not want to turn people away or turn them away after standing in line for an hour or more; so in an effort to alleviate both of those possibilities, reservations will be required. While this is clearly not a situation any of us want, we do ask for your understanding and patience. Please watch this column next week for possible changes.

PLEASE NOTE: The Parish offices will be closed December 23, 24, 25 and January 1, 2021
