On a more somber note, I was saddened by the death of Bill Foot. Bill passed away last month after a long and courageous fight against cancer. He was a very active member of the Natural Bridge Club and an unabashed trail enthusiast in general. He and his wife, Laurie, were the first to do the entire American Discovery Trail. Many of you will recall the excellent slide show they gave of their trip during our 1998 annual meeting. Bill had many friends in RATC and throughout the entire trail community. He will be greatly missed.
