I just ordered the hard copy of this newly released book, but couldnt wait for it to arrive, and so I downloaded the Kindle version too. Dave Lory paints a vivid picture of his days spent as the Manager of this musical genius, who was taken from us all too soon. The emotions felt by Dave in rekindling these memories, are articulated so strongly, as he recounts the days on the road spent with Jeff. We are shown the complexity of Jeffs personality, and his unrelenting dedication to his musical gifts: Its about the music, Stupid!. I am absolutely immersed in this wonderful tribute to this ethereal genius, and cannot wait to finish reading the book.My husband very eerily looks exactly like Jeff (same face, build, height, voice), so when we see images of Jeff, someone in our circle inevitably comments on the striking resemblance between my husband and Jeff. I guess because of this, I feel such a closeness to this wonderful artist.I light a candle for him every 29th May, (the date of his death), and every 17th November (his birthday). To now have the chance to read another heartfelt account of his days signed to Columbia, is a wonderful gift from Dave Lory. I am so grateful for your story, Dave. Thank you for finally striking up the courage to open that box that you stored away containing the memorabilia of Jeff, and reliving the memories you shared with a musical icon; a Soul robbed all too soon from this earth. We are so grateful for every story shared about JB, forever young in the hearts of his family, friends, and fans.
